Yes. But the forum needs to have less than four mods in order for you to be able to apply there. ;) Make sure it's a team you can remain committed to, and that you think truly needs a mod in the first place. |

No, an individual forum is found on... well, the forums part of the site. =P http://forums.supercheats.com/index.php Some restrictions: No matter what, you cannot apply to become a moderator for the Announcements forum. I would suggest getting familiar with the forum rules (http://forums.supercheats.com/forumrules.php) before you start posting in the forums, as that part of the site is much more strict than the teams. (Unfortunately, it's possibly a bit more strict than I would want it to be.) In any case, you're free to apply to any other forum that's available to you under certain conditions: 1) You've been a member for at least one (1) month; 2) You have at least thirty (30) posts in that specified forum; and 3) A moderator position is available. Where do I apply? How do I apply? Questions like those (and others) are more than likely going to be answered in here. |

The answer should be in that topic I linked (http://forums.supercheats.com/topic.php?topic=100286): Become a Moderator: In order to become a moderator, you must be a member for more than a month, and have an absolute minimum of 30 posts in the forum you wish to moderate. When a spot is open, click the “Apply to be a Moderator” link, and fill out your application. After all the applications are processed, you will usually get an email stating whether or not you were accepted. Do not send more applications if you are not accepted within 10 minutes. There is no definite time in which a moderator will be chosen, in fact, you can expect to wait months. Be patient. Too add to this: It says my account is too new, and I need to be a member for a month and have 30posts in the forum to be a mod. It is obvious I have been a member for over a month, and I am not a new account. Why can't I apply? Lots of people get mixed up about this from "Your account is too new". The reason is you don't have 30 posts in the forum. Hm, actually it doesn't specify where the "Apply to be a Moderator" link is.  The link is located in the yellow box in this image. The link should appear in every forum, even those whose moderator positions are closed. So you have to be careful about which forum you plan to apply to. Although it shouldn't matter, I wouldn't post in a forum just to be able to apply for a spot there. So find a forum that matches your passion (possibly a Video Game forum) and make sure your posts are contributive. Once you have thirty (30) posts, you should be able to apply for a moderator position IF there are less than three moderators there. If there are four or greater moderators to a forum, then you will not be able to apply for a mod position. But I wouldn't stop from posting in a forum, so that in the future, if the mod position becomes available, you would be able to apply for it ASAP. Just remain loyal and contributive to the forum. |

Don't just search for forums that you are able to apply for - You should only apply for a forum if you post there reguarly and aren't just posting to get the Moderator rank underneath your avatar. I suggest going after a video game forum first, though. |
