Nope. Its simple. Use the Card ability. No EXP, but you still get AP for the GF's. Also you don't gain EXP from bosses, but you gain quite a lot of AP from them

As for your stats. The best idea is to draw 100 of each magic, and junction them

I dun have it, but I assume it's just the very same game and gameplay, just with some extra stuff and better movies, just like they did on PSX...so in that case yes it's worth it.

Re: I found FF I and VIII to be really easy though. VIII is actually easier if you DON'T level up. The enemies get stronger if you do
I agree VIII can be much easier without leveling up, But there was once I had a very hard time kicking the **** out of ultimecia, There was once I walked away with it, Not even reaching level 50, But subsequent attempts, I cant beat her at levels below 50.

That's generally my level as well on FF VIII for most characters..never had much trouble beating her though, then again I can't remember the time I played this without cheats. I always use the "all items" and "infinite items" cheat.

No use of cheats for level up or more HP though.

All of the games are worth buying... Even the very first one, Magic Quest (only released in Japan), was a very good one... One of the best.

Mystic Quest wasn't the first one . It was released after FF IV

The japanese thought the americans sucked at RPG's, so they decided to make a FF specially for them, which had toned down difficulty, very basic gameplay, and a very basic, linear story. Basically it was designed for beginners. It was released in the US first

To add insult to it, when they released it in Japan later, they called it Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest (despite the fact it was made in Japan), and when they released it in Europe, they dropped the "Final Fantasy" from the title. Its known as one of the worst FF's ever

Well ive never tried it, but I heard it was pretty basic. It was designed for beginners.

Personally, i think FF II was my least favourite. The botched advancement system puts me off

Yeah. V was a great one. One of my favourites of the pre-PSX era FF's.

I thought FF II's story was pretty good, but the gameplay was where the faults where

Story was fine, yup. I've only ever played the NES/SNES ones, lol. I should get FF VII on my computer or something... play it...

I like all the FF's up until IX. FF X was alright, but I don't see XII as a FF. VII was a good one IMO

Its because the story was very boring. And the gameplay wasn't anything like a FF. Also the characters were soulless, and barely even spoke to each other. In previous FF's, the characters seem to get to know each other, and are very close by the end of the game. But you didn't get any of that this time

It felt more like a FF spin off, than something from the main series. It had a lot of references to previous FF's, but I can't see much else in it. Even the Espers were completly changed. Al the traditional ones were ditched, and replaced with new ones. Some of them named after the final bosses of the first five games, and others named after Lucavi from FF Tactics

Lol. There are some people who really like it. But those are usually the people who haven't played any of the older ones. They usually don't know what to expect in a FF

Still, If you can accept the fact that FF VII is futuristic, instead of medieval, its pretty awesome. It was my first FF game
