I haven't tried it without a Wi-Fi plug... but it might be possible. (You are so lucky, me always wanted a Shiny Pikachu, Lucario, and Mew... you can get Shiny Lucario...) If it was a second egg, I was going to ask you how many it took... and it took 1 and that's the first. (I  mine is Shiny) What type of Router is yours? |

spadeds: You can go here, select your Router on the left-hand side, select your version on the left-hand side, and then find out the SSID code. Then, on your Wi-Fi Connection Setup on your DS, tap Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings, then tap Connection 1, then tap the Edit next to SSID, then type in the SSID code.
