Gargarenthsis was a cyclops long ago. He was the distant relative of a god, hence his humongous height, but was still mortal. Now he searches the very thing that could destroy the earth: his immortality. But there is one that could stop him, the only ones that could stop him. Arkantos, along with Ajax, Chiron and Amanra. These four have traveled great distances in pursuit of the cyclops. Everyone that joins has to be either Ajax, Chiron, Reiginleaf, or Amanra. There will not be a fourth. I will be Arkantos, of course. No one can be Gargarenthsis, because he is the main badguy. I'll post my bio, and bio's of the other's too, later. Edit: My bio. Name: Arkantos Age: 44 Weapons: He uses only one spear, and has minimal armor that has sufficed for ages of combat. History: Arkantos of Atlantis was born in a time of great turmoil. His homeland was under constant siege by enemy armies and was often on the verge of losing not only it’s colonies that it fought hard to establish, but the very home island of Atlantis. Arkantos took of spear and shield at a young age, and quickly earned a reputation as a great leader, and one favored by Poseidon, Father of Atlantis. By the twilight of these great wars, Arkantos had become so indisputably skilled in waging war that the council of Atlantis named him admiral and placed him in charge of their entire military. With the homeland again safe, Arkantos embarked upon a campaign to search out and eliminate any enemies who still remained. Finaly, there was no enemy capable of challenging Atlantis. In a time of peace, maintaining a large army no longer seemed necessary and Arkantos himself seemed a relic of a bygone age. Kept around largely for his years of service, Arkantos now commands only a token force to fight off the rare bandit or pirate, including those that killed his wife and left his son, Kastor, his only heir. It seemed that Arkantos’ days of glory had ended. But fate had something else in mind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Ajax Weopons: He wields a spear and a large shield History: Ajax is a renowned Greek warrior, said only to be excelled by Achilles, and the son of the king of Salamis. Ajax is typically the "brawn" of the team, not being much of a strategist but a hardy fighter nonetheless. He wields a spear and a large shield. His special attack is a shield bash that knocks enemy foot soldiers back a short distance. In real Greek mythology, Ajax was a hero of the Trojan War who committed suicide after being beaten by Odysseus to determine who would get Achilles' armor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Amanra Weopons: Amanra wields a bladed staff and shield. History: Amanra is a Nubian mercenary leader, the daughter of a warchief and a devotee of Isis. At an early age, Amanra went with her father into battles. She soon established her reputation as a legendary fighter. Amanra's commander is a man of great incompetence and a greater belly, Mnevis, who only got his position because of his friendship with Amanra. Amanra wields a bladed staff and shield and her special ability is to take a great leap, sometimes allowing her to jump over walls in much the same manner as an Anubite. Amanra's name could be a pun on "Amon-Ra," a form of Ra worshipped in the south of Egypt. If one looks at the ingame dictionary article for "Sign", one will find that Amanra has a flying ship. This may be a homage to the Flying Dutchman, a cheat unit from the original Age of Empires, which is able to sail over land. It may also be a sign of Amon-Ra's heavenly ship, upon which he sails across the sky and then battles demons from it at night. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Chiron History: Chiron is a centaur renowned for his wisdom. He is freed by Arkantos and Ajax from bandits in Ioklos and afterwards joins the heroes in their quest. Chiron is a hero unit who possesses abilities similar to those of the centaur unit, and is unique in being the only hero of the Centaur race. His special ability allows him to fire three arrows at once. In ancient Greek mythology, Chiron was the name of the only centaur who was not violent towards humans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Reginleif History: Reginleif is a valkyrie who is over 1000 years old. She sends the dwarves Eitri and Brokk to reforge Thor's hammer Mjolnir. She also sends Niordsir and some Jarls and Ox Carts to follow Gargarensis. Watching the waves go by, Arkantos meditated on the task he had been sent on. He was by far the best general in Atlatis's ranks, so he thought to himself, Why did they send me on this task? By the time we get there, Troy will have already fallen. All we'll need to do is raise the flag of Atlantis; not a job for an Admiral. *** They landed at King Agamemnons camp later that day, meeting with the King himself, and with Ajax.
