Delian sees the third hound pounce, and he quickly runs at it. The dog's head hits the middle of the axe. Two more dogs come to the scene, and Delian throws his axe at one of them, killing it ((not sure if we "kill" them. We're just cutting their batteries out or something, lol))
Forgetting that he has no gun, he doesn't have anything to defend himself from the other dog with.
The needle gets put into his hand, but he quickly pulls it out before the full dose gets into his system. He sways a bit. And falls over.

Dad? *looks at him worried.*
AD: We havea serum at our house. in the works of plato. Go, take the truck. *Gives arroy the keys and runs to fight hte others.*
*Arroy grabs delian and hel;sp him to the truck. Alex gets in on shotgun and they speed off. Loosk overa the worried face and smiles.* its oaky Alex. nothign will happen to you.
A: *Starts to cry again. I'm so sorry. ic aused you all of this. if you hadn't met me...
*HOlds her hand and drives iwth the other.* hey, enough of that. riht now, its you, me, and delian on our own. We have to stick togehter. *Stops at the house and gets the things his father said to. Alex picks out some books, and they get abck in. Injects Delian with the serum to heal him.* Delian, wake up.

Delian stirs.
Mutters something inaudible.
He's having a nightmare, about his past. Before he joined the army, when he was living with his parents.
He yells a bit, but then falls silent.

((don't worry, not dead. just giving the serum some time to take effect.))

((I figured.))

*Grabs some rope and hands it to Alex.* Take this and tie him up. he'll be a dagner if you convulses.
A; Right. *Nods and ties him up.* I'm sorry delian. *Finishes and joins Arroy in front.* where will we go?
Don't knwo yet. but we'll ahve to get a new set of wheels, or just start walking. this thing is hard to miss.

Delian is still knocked out...

*Sees flashing lights in the rear view mirror. Looks back and sees kerosene tanks. piled up.* take the wheel, ALex.
A: M!?! *Looks shocked.* I can't. i can't drive.
Just keep her going straight. *Grabs a few kerosene containers and gets up top.*
A: I wish Delian was up. he looks liek he could drive.

((Okay, I'll just wake up now))
Delian wakes up screaming and sweating and panting.
He doesn't feel the ropes around him, and doesn't even notice that they're there until he tries to move.
"Can you get these off of me?" he says noticing the girl watching him.
"And what is your name?" he asks her

A: *loosk back at him with a nervous smile and quickly cuts him loose.* its alexandra, but call me alex. and please tell me you know how to drive. I don't, and arroy is up on top of the truck.

*(Sits up top, popuring out some kerosene. lights a match and throws it down. a flame shoots to the cars and blows a few up. ISts up top and uses one of the flame throwers and begins melting cars that get to close.*

((Oh, houns are limited. so you know.))

"Nice to meet you Alex. I'm Delian, if you don't already know. And thank you for tieing me up. Unless it was Arroy, then I should be thanking him. But, you probably noticed me moving around a lot. Just a little nightmare. Happens all the time. Wow, that sedative or whatever was in that needle sure is causing me to talk a lot. And yes, I do know how to drive."
Delian gasps, after saying all of that in one breath.

A: *Quickly switches him seats and buckles up in back.* tehn hurry please. *Looks white with fright.*

*Still up top, and has gotten most of the police cars away. Finds the beacon sending hte signal and destroys it. jumps back in through a window inthe passenger side.* hello tyou two. Delian, seems liek you woke up from your nap. *looks at alex.* wht's wrong miss? you look pale.

Revs the engine and looks at Alex
"Don't worry. I won't get us killed." laughs
"You guys ready? Want me to start now?"

Yes. lets head to a car lot. we need a new vehicle. *sits up front with Delian.* sorry we couldn't stop at your house.

"Well, I didn't have a house, but an apartment. Nothing there except a bed, a chair, and a table. I have a few books, but not many. I'm not losing anything."
*Starts driving*
"Any idea where the nearest car lot is?"

((I'm gonna go in about 10 or 15 minutes.))

*looks at the closest street sign.* everlong street. Go up two more roads, then turn right at the third intersection. *looks back and sees Alex still pale.* I'm going o go back and sit with her. okay?

((okay then.))

"Yeah, sit where ever you want, just don't sit on me."
*Continues driving, watching for more firemen or dogs*
((I'm gonna go now. I'll probably be on tomorrow.))

okay. *Goes back and sits by Alex.* Hey. um... *looks lost, then holds her hand.* I'm really sorry for what happened back there.
A; Its, its okay. Your dad, he was very brave. i see where you get it. and our friend Delian is so brave as well. *looks at the floor.* I'm sorry I just stodd there crying.
hey, hey. its oaky. really. *smiels and she smiles a little to.* From now on, I'll look out for you. and you look out for me. and we'll both look out for delian. and he can look otu for us. We're a group, and rebels. *Brightens.* We're scholars. that means we can read agian.
A: *perks up.* really? we can. *hugs him.* Yay! We should go find a place right now and we can read. *realizes what she's doing and lets go, embarrased* Sorry.
*luaghs, and she starts to laugh.* Its okay. don't worry.

((I'm back, obviously))
As he is driving, he hears Arroy say that all three of them are scholars.
"I'm not a scholar. I'm not a fireman either. Just so you know."
He continues driving, and turns at the next street.
"Hey, I see the car lot."

*Looks and sees the cars.* We need something nice and normal. nothing flashy. *looks at the guards on duty.* lets park abit away and sneak in.

*Parks a block away and gets out of the car*
"Okay, let's try to avoid unnecessary fighting."

uh... duh? *Smiles and helps alex out.* can you carry the bags?
A: sure. *look saround nervously.*
Don't worry. *flicks open what look like sunglasses. puts them on.* We're covered. no hounds.
A: *Relaxes and carrie sth ebags.*
Sorry, You're just safer this way. till we get you armed.
A: its okay.
right. well, lets get going. *Starts walking.*
