RP Issues/Problems

Lizzy... do you even know what you're saying? You're aware of what racism is right? It's hating someone or thinking they're inferior because they're of a different race. There's another word called speciesism. It means hating or thinking something's inferior because of what species it is, to my knowledge.

Let me just show you something from a movie I saw not too long ago. It's called District 9. Understand that these aliens are just as smart as the humans. Going by your logic, what is done in this scene is right. In fact, it oddly reminds me of Blaze and Lilly forcing Nova to kill something else as practice.




I want you to watch this and tell me that everything in there was right. I want you to tell me that it's right to kill regardless of intelligence. I want you to tell me that if something isn't big or strong enough, it has the right to die regardless of the means.

Derek you took what I said and twisted it worse then what a newsreporter would. What I mean is they are not the same creature I'm not saying the Tryanter is better because it looks cooler or is stronger and I'm not saying Ninetales is better because its faster or poofyer. I'm just trying to say their two diffreat things. =/

It's pretty apparent in both situations that the two aren't the same physically. The aliens look nothing like the humans. One Pokemon doesn't look like another. Regardless of physical appearance, I still want you to answer my question. Because of the physical differences, does one thing have the right to die regardless of means if it can't well protect itself against what essentially is death to it.

Lisa, you don't seem to understand the meaning of this thread. It basically is for debating. Now unless you have something productive to say towards the current subject, or want to start a new one regarding problems in the role play, get out.

Lizzy, I'm going to give this one last attempt. You don't have to listen to what I say. If you disagree with this, I'm not going to 'argue my point into the ground' any further. I'm going to try to see your view of things too.

I know you're doing all of this eating business to try to make things more real/interesting in the role play, and I commend you for that. I only hope that you can understand why I don't like it. It's bringing a very bad nature of animals into the role play, one that doesn't need to be related to Pokemon at all.

Again, I want you to fully understand what you're saying, Elizabeth. From my point of view, you're only half stating the facts, yet put on the appearance that you're doing everything correct. *Near Treasure Town... oh wait, animals and objects can't build towns. Let me restate that. Near a mud hole in the middle of nowhere, there's a bigass blue chicken pecking holes in trees. Turning off to his side, he sees Shadow and clucks loudly, running away in fear that the ugly little goblin is going to eat him. Shadow just continues to sniff the ground, looking for more rocks to eat. She's covered in mud and dirt, but doesn't seem to care. Lilly is dead, simple as that. She got too close to one of Matt's webs one day and got tangled up. Seeing as Matt is a big scary spider, and animals like that don't exactly care for others, he wrapped her up to immobilize her, stuck his spikes into her belly while she was still alive, and injected her with digestive fluids to eat her from the inside out. Did he care that she was screaming? I think not. Blaze? He's out in the field, chewing on Silver's bones. Seems he caught her off guard one day, mated with her, then ripped her throat out with his teeth. Foxes do that. Maria's out in a field, searching around for small berries and nuts. She's missing an ear and most of her tail after a run in with Lilly before she got eaten. This is the world, a world where no stories exist because it's kill or be killed. A world where no one can live peacefully, only fear that the next day is the day they die. Oh wait, animals can't think enough to fear death. Nevermind~

Now this is where your logic falls to pieces. Tell me, based on the current state of things in the role play, would you describe the characters as more of mindless creatures, or human like creatures who take on the appearance of animals? You say that things deserve to live, correct? I'll refer to the previous video and show you where you've wronged.

*One man is strapped to a board, being forced to test weapons that are meant to hurt others by the scientist.*
*Nova is sitting in a forest, surrounded by her parents who are getting ready to teach Nova how to use her body to kill others.*

*Several guards bring out an alien they captured earlier from its home. They force it to stand by a chain in the firing range at gun point. They tell it if it moves, it gets shot in the head*
*Blaze runs into the forest, soon coming back out with a tied up Buneary in its clutches. It has no chance of escaping from him. If it tries, it dies at his hands.*

*The scientists are getting ready to shoot the alien. It has no chances of escaping this alive, only looking on in fear as the gun is aimed at its head. The scientists are telling the strapped up human that it's going to die for educational purposes. The man protests, not wanting to take the life of an innocent.*
*Blaze and Lilly are looking down at the Buneary, setting it up to die. It has no chances of escaping as Blaze wounds its foot. It can only look on in fear as it's set up to die by the hands of the fox family. Lilly and Blaze are telling Nova that it's going to die for educational purposes. Nova protests by whimpering a little and backing up, not wanting to take the life of an innocent, as she herself is innocent.*

*When the man is unable to kill the alien, the scientists shock him and cause the gun to go off, firing off a blast at the alien and completely killing it. The man breaks down in tears afterwords, now covered in its blood and intestines.*
*When Nova is unable to kill the innocent Buneary, Lilly walks over and rips its throat out herself, completely killing it. Nova is whimpering a little as she's forced to eat it, soon covered in its blood and intestines. Well, not only that but eating the innocent as it was forced to be her food.*
You say that that video wasn't right, yet you claim what you do is right. Tell me, how are you any better from the scientists in that movie? Are you some person here who cannot fault, no matter what happens? From my point of view, that's what you're saying. Here's a list of facts for you, Lizzy.

• FACT: You say I'm completely one sided, arguing my points to the ground. Yet, you do the same, only backing down because the others around you are beginning to cast you shameful looks due to your actions.
  


• FACT: You say you try to treat them as animals when this role play has about as much to do with them being true animals as my rear end does with a moon walk.
  


• FACT: You say I twist your words and veer off topic when in actuality, I'm simply pointing out what I see and keeping to the same subject of this cannibalistic act you're trying to condone.
  


• FACT: Everyone except for you that has seen this thread can see exactly where I'm going with this, and agrees with what I say. Only you, due to your stubborn nature, are refusing to see the bad that you're actually doing here.
  


• FACT: The Pokemon in this role play border human intelligence, yet you degrade them to mindless beasts by the act of killing one another. You refuse to let them rise to the challenge of being civil in what they do.
  

I said earlier that I would see it from your point of view, and I have. The only thing is that your points of view are so skewed and down right revolting that I can't stand to associate myself with them. I'm done. If you want to continue to argue this, be my guest. I've showed you my point of views, I've told you where I believe you're in the wrong, so I'm just going to stop here.

The both of you cut it now. I've seen horrid 'debating tactics' on both your sides. You should both be legitly ashamed of yourselves.

Derek: Your posts have reached the point of being utterly disrespectful, single-minded, and contain pointless mud-slinging. You may hold technical superiority to nightmare both in this team and the site in general, but that still gives you no excuse to do what I've seen here. Remove him from the team if you like, but do not take part in this. This has always been a problem of yours, you take certain debates much too seriously and allow your argument to degrade horribly over time. I expect better from someone who's now a fellow smod.

nightmare2: Your posts also contain pointless statements, mudslinging, but aren't nearly as disrespectful. I believe you did a better overall job here than Derek, honestly. It is possible for you and Derek to both hold valid arguments, and for it to come down to pure opinion. In that case, what you need to understand is that if you've been outvoted by team executives then there's nothing you can do about it. Stay here and stop complaining, or go to another team. There's very little more annoying then a person who tries to constantly complain about something when it's already been covered.

I've been watching this thread for a while now, and I'm not surprised that I have to step in. If anything to this degree erupts again I won't hesitate to close this thread down and issue warnings. Obviously I can't include you in the 2nd thing, Derek, but I'm sure the other smods would have something to say.

Yes, I am being single minded. Yes, I am being disrespectful. Yes, my posts do contain mud slinging. I deny none of this and did realize what I was saying the instant I put the words down on this page. Why? You've already said. It's annoying. You and nightmare are both treating this like a debate thread when it's simply a thread meant to allow people to come to an understanding. It's even in the thread description.

I have no intentions of debating over any small points such as Nightmare was leading into. Reason being why I said what I did; In an attempt to make him stop this, as he's barely enough part of this role play to truly understand what's going on. Either someone's going to come here, address a problem they have in the role play, discuss it with the others, or get out.

You forget I don't view myself as an Smod, or even part of staff. You're free to say whatever you please to me, as long as you have reasoning behind it. Experience > Rank, is how I view it.

I am addressing that. If someone misses a couple of days or even a day, depending on activity, it is really hard to know what is going on. And I find that annoying. And it isn't just me, other RPers are gonna be lost and will have to kinda go with the flow, tag along. I would be grateful if we could find a way to either solve this problem or get near to such.

This is a promblem you can solve. Just ask for a recap. No one is going to pause the RP to wait for you. You are like everyone else here.

Your logic doesn't fail, Forgotten Scars. I've read this entire thread, and every argument and point you have made has seemed legit to me. Not only do you make a good argument, but you make it understandable for everyone who reads it... or at least you try to.

But I have to say that demons aren't bad. Sure, they seem evil to most people, but those people don't have enough creativity to see from the demon's point of view. You're simply contradicting yourself, FS. In your last few posts, you argued that we shouldn't be racist and we shouldn't segregate. You're basically saying "every demon is bad", which is like saying "every alien is evil", or "every person of a certain race is stupid."

Quit judging the book by it's cover. I'm sure none of you here have ever talked to a demon. How do you know what they're like?

I am tired of DEREK always steering the rp his way and not giving anyone a chance to work with anything. My last stinking post in the rp should have been taken in a completely opposite way. Derek has basically just set Lilly to die and given me no stinking way to post. My post should of been taken in such a way that Derek would of lightened up a bit and been nice to Lilly not try to kill her AGAIN!

What a delightful read. So much time for this.

I've asked for recaps in the rp many times and most of them have been ignored, like the one last night. I'm getting tired of being ignored, for one, and Derek, I can give a rat's @ss what you think, but I ask for a recap for one of two reasons.

1) So I can get an idea of what's going on.

2) So I can try getting involved.

Flluffy and Derek have told me time and time again to use more of my characters. Well, it's hard to just jump into such a busy rp not knowing what's going on, and I also do not appreciate some of the responses to my request for a recap, particularly from Derek, asking why the f-ck I care. If I didn't f-cking care, why would I bother asking for recaps?

All I'm gonna say is that if I'm ignored or given some smart@ss reply for a recap, I'm simply going to stop bothering with getting involved in the rp. Derek, Fluffy, I'm talking to you two in particular. Stop pushing me asidde like I don't give a f-ck about what's going on in the rp and DON'T ignore me.

I rest my case.
