well it has to be a render ok heres the steps for a render (pic where the background is all white or black)

1. select layer,transparency,add aplha channel
2. click the wand
3. click and area on the render and cut it out and do that till the whole background looks like a checkerboar
4.selct all then cut then paste on ur background

thats as best as i can explain it sora
