Who would know besides God?

On the topic of God, how do we know that God is a being? Is it possible that God is everything? That would make understanding omnipotence easier I would think. I'm just not sure that God is what we think God is.

One would think that a being like God wouldn't be limited to gender or forms. Maybe I'm just trying to confuse myself, who knows.

Pray about it. Never use a Ouija board. It summons evil spirits.

I'm still stuck on if God is a he or a she while you guys are figuring out if God is an old man or not xD

According to the bible, only man without sin can see God and live. Apparently we're all in for it if God ever visits earth in true form.

Seth: Well, in the Bible, God is referred to as a he (even by Jesus). If indeed he has a gender, I think it is safe to say he is male.

Jake: That's right, but I think Seth was speaking hypothetically. I'm sure everyone in Heaven will see both God and Jesus, so we'll find out them.

I don't know about seeing God in heaven. I'll have to look into it.

That would be kinda awkward. "Hey God. Sup!?".

Do you really think we will call him "God" in Heaven? Wouldn't we call him Dad or Father, since we are all his adopted children and are one family (one body) through Christ Jesus?

Father or Lord seems more appropriate.

I believe in God but that's about as far as my belief goes.

I have read some of the Christian bible and it is alright, but I have my doubts. Why would God choose such a simplistic form like a man? God could be any form he wants, so why not something as complex as God is?

My own opinion is that people call God a "he" because we can't begin to understand what God really is. Another thing, is there a trio or is it just God and Jesus in Christianity? I've read both ways and they can't both be right.

Questions are all I seem to have, and I've pushed away from prayer and looked for answers on my own. I guess I don't really believe God listens to prayers. Why would God listen to prayers? God is a celestial being, doesn't God have better things to do like create existence elsewhere?

Personally, I just don't know anymore. I used to accept everything so easily as a child, and now it seems I just want to question everything.

Seth: It sounds like you are overthinking things a little. To answer your questions, God is Three In One / A Trio. This includes the Father (God), Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. When it comes to prayer, well, he listens and answers prayers because he loves us. Any loving father listens and talks to his children. What I would suggest is to try praying. It really makes my life better.

Jake: I have too. It's an amazing things. But I think God answers all prayers. I think he answers with "Yes", "No", or "Wait".

I really like talking to you folks about this kind of stuff. It just makes me feel really good.

Wait is such a common answer. I enjoy it too.

Yes, it is. Some people take "Wait" as a "No" and stop praying for that matter, and that could lead to it being a "No".

Yeah. I never take no for an answer.
