"I'll leave when the sun rises and that thing burns. He killed my best friend after Coran mistakingly stabbed some young waitress at the tavern. I demand justice." He shouted the last bit o Josh.

Rafel talked down from his position. "Josh, please tell him that the sun isn't going to hurt."

*The sun was slowly beginning to show its first rays. The townspeople showed a bit more excitement and looked back at Rafael. It struck Seth what they were trying to do to him.*

"But he's only half vampire... it won't work!" thought Seth. "Maybe I could turn this into a class act!"

*Seth caused the branches of the tree to form the words "on your signal" in an old language. He hoped that Rafael got the message.*

"If this works, I'll be laughing for weeks!" thought Seth.

*Julian steps up next to Josh*
"You better get the hell away from here. Me and that man you have on the cross have just become friends. Now you're trying to kill him?"

Rafael heard twigs bending and looked up. He nodded, and once the sun fully covered his body, he gave the signal.

*looked up at Rafael then looked up at the trees and almost busted out laughing*

*Julian saw Josh look up and followed his glance*
"What are you looking at?"

*Just as the sun appeared over the mountains, Seth summoned up a huge, swirling ring of flames around the cross where Rafael was hung. The people all backed away, and began cheering. Rafael screamed while in the flaming cyclone, completing the facade. As it swirled around the cross, doing no harm to Rafael, tongues of flame licked out and burned off the strings binding Rafael to the cross. He was free. Once he was safely on the ground and poised, Seth dissipated the cyclone.*

*Screams came from all around, as the people became terrified and began to scatter. Josh and Julian gave chase, and Rafael stood peaceably in front of his former cross of bondage.*

*Once all the people had scattered, Seth descended on a branch of his tree hideaway.*

"That was fun!"

"hehehehehe we should do that again"

Rafael looked at teh townsfolk. "But I wanted to confront the man who put me up there. Oh, well." He sighed and looked at Seth. "Thanks, you saved me from having to really starting a witch hunt."

*While Julian was chasing the men, he couldn't refrain himself*
"Hahahahaha"
*Julian rolls on the ground laughing*
"That was hilarious!"
*Wipes a tear from his eye*

*josh walks back up to his and goes in to go to sleep again*

*Seth walks towards the others, Josh and Julian having just gotten back.*

"It was my pleasure, Rafael. I do love a good performance now and then, and I'll say that was one of the best I've ever seen! Your screaming completed it! Did you see them scatter when you emerged unscathed! Perfect! Anyway, I'm sure we'll find that bloke in charge, no need to worry."

*While Julian is walking back to the house, a question comes to mind*
((It's directed to Rafael))
"So, those flames wouldn't have hurt you?"

"NOpe, Seth was in control the entire time."

Rafael walks to his region and goes to the lake. He bathes, then goes back to Josh's cottage.

*josh is still asleep in house for another 5 hours*

*Julian continues following Rafael*
"No, what I meant was, if the sun came up, you wouldn't have been damaged at all. I always thought vampires were nocturnal."

*wakes up and comes out*

*Seth goes to Julian and responds.*

"Well, no. They wouldn't have hurt him. Three reasons. Number one, he's only half vampire. That's why he can be in the sun like right now and has no side effects from garlic. Number two, he's part vampire. He'd heal in seconds. Number three, those flames were from me. Like the green flame last night, just on a bigger scale. I kept them from coming close to him. Doest that tell you what we Elementals can do? Control forces of nature, basically."
