can u in game reset right before an egg hatches 2 get a shiny because it seems like the pkmn has the same nature and all that stuff? am i wasting my time because of that or will i eventually get it(even if it will be like a few weeks straight or whatever)

The nature and gender of the pokemon are set as soon as the old man gives you the egg. The chances of getting a pokemon to hatch shiny are very slim, about ~8%. I have gotten very lucky when breeding pokemon to get shinies.

And when it's called Soft-Resetting(or SR for short), not in-game reset.

But you have to think if it were 8% chances of getting a shiny then everyone would get shines all over the place, 8% can make a difference .As dos said it depends on luck ,me I'm lucky because I can't get a shiny in the wild worth of crap , but I get lucky breeding shines.

I wouldn't worry about it right now since sign-ups are over, but a Pokemon Tourney is a Pokemon Battle Tournament. If you want to take part in a tourney, you have to go to the Battle Forum.

Itrue that 8% can make a difference however, with the chances of getting a wild shiny without chaining is already a 4.65%, the chances of hatching are a little bit higher. But I never said it was a set 8%, I said ~8%, which means around, give or take.

i think 8% seems really high because i heard the chances of getting a shiny were, like, 1 in 8100 something

1 in 1832 chances of getting a shiny which are slim but as dos said with the radar if you have diamond it boosts it to 4.65% which is alot.

can you get shiny pokemon in the old games like silver and gold?

Yes you can get shines in silver and gold , matter of fact its easier to get a shiny in silver or gold , just go into grass, i got a shiny pidgey ,rattata, hoothoot there so common on that game.


But if you want a blaziken nine chances out of ten, your gonna be reseting alot.
