So you want me to Rp here with you, but you don't want to Rp without me. Wow, I feel wanted for once. Though I'm still sticking to my answer to the SCT Newsletter question.

"If you were to leave SC and never come back, how do you think the community and the site itself would be affected?"

My answer: In no way. I'm just one person. I shouldn't have any effect on what happens.

Though, now I wish I had had time to elaborate on that. If I did have time, I would have said.

My leaving would affect the site in no way. I'm just one person who makes little difference on the site. It's not like I'm needed by anyone for anything. If I were to leave, the memory of me would fade within a few weeks and I would become just as forgotten as the scars my username suggests.

In any case, I kind of NEED to RP with you. =/
First of all, there's the Xana training with Ribbon thing, then there the classic Aline/Chris thing. By the by, I kind of need Chris to stay effed up beyond repair for a while. I think I'm finally ready to introduce Aline's mom, stealing a couple of scenes from a certain anime and a certain movie(one each) in the process.

Chris can stay effed up. I'll be in the Rp in a few days. I just need to try something first and see if it works.

And what would that be?

Alright, Derek. It won't be fun, but it'll at least give me time to think about my little storyline for a small bit longer.

Well, you weren't here back in November. There were two things that really made the Rp come to life again... let me try to explain.

Back in November, we had the T&C MVP. It was a month were Rich monitored the activity of T&C and took up a count of votes to see who would get the T&C MVP award. At the end of the month, Rich announced it and Will got the prize. Turns out the main things he was looking for were long posts and how well the person's team was doing. Seeing as this team belongs to Will, he got the award. I managed to get more posts than Will... a lot more, but that didn't really matter. His were just a bit longer than mine and the team thing counted for about 50 percent. I was a little upset over that for about a day, then I realized that Will really was the best choice. That was a spark to my Rp activity and long posts.

Another contributing factor was the fact that I was just going with the flow in the Rp. After the MVP was over, I took a break for a little while and stuck to the forums. Turns out that break was exactly what I needed, because when I came back, I had SOOO many ideas. I kept the Rp booming with long posts and vivid stories for nearly 3 months, just because of that short break. I want to try it again, and see what I get.

Have to face the facts though, PMDS... T&C... hell, the whole of SC is going down the drain. If one or two weeks of no activity is all it takes to get something really good going, I'm willing to stay away from the place. I desperately want to bring the life back to not only this place, but also T&C. This is the only way I know how to.

If it does, go for it then. Hope it works...now where's my brain...?

By all means, if you're gonna get ideas like you did again, take a break. ;)

You want to know what made last summer so good? The ideas... We had so many of them, and we were so anxious to share them with the others, that we had the time of our lives. I was new to the site, but had a very active imagination. I was able to unload all the ideas I've ever come across into this Rp. Garret was the same, even though he had been active on Team Glaceon RP for a while. He was going at full speed, giving us epic storylines that were just begging to be developed into massive sequels. There was always Will, even though he left us. He gave us a basic foundation for an Rp flow, with the love and innocence that Maria used to show. Once he left for the summer, we had someone to take care of in the Rp, and that never got old. It's only too sad that he pretty much quit this Rp after he got back. Then there was Z. She had the wild ideas, and mainly went along with the flow. But every once in a while, she would come up with something great if pushed into it. Gabby was happy and random, always bringing joy to the place. She didn't care if she Rpd alone or with someone else. I'm fairly certain she just found joy in expressing herself there.

And after all of this, school started and we mellowed out. We started running out of real good ideas, so we had to develop new ones. Biggest flaw in this all is that we would use up the best of our ideas too quickly in just a few posts to make a small spark in the Rp. We weren't willing to hold off and just develop those ideas into bigger stories with more effective outcomes. That's the same problem we've been having here recently. We're just here to kill time; we're not having real fun. Hold off on the big ideas, think them through for a while. Even when you think you've got it all, stop and add more to it. Then and only then will it be like last summer.

Last summer was insane.


And I loved it.

I think we all loved it. We need Cam back, we need all the oldies back. We need summer over 09 to be put down by summer of 2010.
