Eigth Palaver

I think all original-grunge bands have changed their sound. It's not a popular style anymore. And it was always a sub-genre of alternative/experimental rock, so it makes sense that they'd try other things anyway.

I had not heard about that, and I do not like the idea.

I guess they had a few people did it, I know lorde did one of the songs (i forget which though). and yeah, they all mostly have, but STP seems to want to try and stay kinda the same but the new guy from linkin park doesnt make it sound right.

I definitely wouldn't group Bennington with Grunge music. His voice is too clean - Even when he does his 'screams.'

I just think its too much of a break from the original.

anyway, coachella apparently happened, they had a pretty good line up from what I saw.

I'm excited for Lollapalooza.

i don't quite get the excitement for it anymore other than the musical experience. I know a guy on campus here was talking baout it like its the next woodstock.

I really just go to them as an excuse to get out of my area. :p

An HP pavilion series.

I moved a bunch of computers last night. There was this one awesome Mac. All aluminum. I wish I knew the model.

I dont like apple as a company or a brand so I wouldn't even bother to look it up. They're expensive for no particularly good reason other than brand power.

Yes, they are expensive. I wouldn't say just because of brand power, though. They have some reliable products with very good technology. The base software on their non-computer products is much better than most others, though not perfect.

Even if they were expensive just for brand power, it should be, in a way, a higher reason to purchase their products. Brand power doesn't just come out of nowhere - There's a reason they've got such power in the tech world. People like them, they're good products.

Even though I dislike Apple computers, I'd be dumb to say they aren't -good- computers. I just prefer Windows.

As payment for moving all these computers the guy gave me to 2 Macs and a DVD player.

they're alright, though not for what I would do. Apples to me are basically the try hard to windows based comps where everything an apple does (and doesnt do) a windows can do better and cheaper. I get the whole "they dont get viruses" thing (which itself is a massive lie), but really I just dont see them as as powerful.

What are they good for?
