I have finally returned. I finally finished Tess of the d'Urbervilles, having read the last 230 pages yesterday. Next is Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. I have the audio version of that on my iPod, though, so I'm planning on reading it and listening to it at the same time. It'll only take 16.1 hours.

How is anyone who is on right now?

I'll tell ya a bit about it. i've only read the first page and I'm gonna copy and post the first page up. good thing vicky doesn't go into the pavalar section. She said It's suppoesed to be a surprise. anyway, this is a bit of her work. I've hijacked her laptop on my laptop.

Gemstone Order
Chapter One
Rafael walked towards the tavern’s exit. ‘That’s enough for today,’ he thought. He had just gotten out of the door when a man ran after him and yelled, “How dare you stop me!” Rafael smiled at the man. “Sir, you’re drunk. Let’s not do this,” he said. The man was about the reply when it started to rain. As the man looked up Rafael made his move. He pinned the man to the wall of the tavern, smiled, and then let him fall. He turned around and walked into the forest.

Hydro, son of Poseidon, was swimming in a river in a forest. He was enjoying the sunshine and the cool breeze blowing in his hair.
A young girl, about 19 years of age, was skipping through the forest. She had tan skin, black hair and had two tiger-like ears popping out of her hair. She had a small tiara on her head. She stopped by the river to take a drink. She suddenly halted. There was a man in the river. The man was closing in on her.
“Good day, young lass,” Hydro called at the girl. “Who are you?” the girl replied rudely to Hydro. “Hydro, son of Poseidon, and you are…” “Princess Tyla Silverstripe the Second,” Tyla said to Hydro.
Casem, a young man, was walking down the dirt road. He sees a girl in the distance. He walks over to her and finds another man in the river. Casem quickly jumps up into a tree before anyone sees him. He listens to the awkward talk between the demi-God and the princess.
Luna, a small female dragon, walked over to the two. “I have been lost here for days. Can anyone give me directions?” she asked. “You are welcome to join us,” Hydro replies to the dragon. “I’m Luna and I have been lost in this forest for days,” Luna tells them. Casem stretches to see Luna properly but falls out of the tree.

Rafael reached into his leather bag for an apple. There wasn’t any there. He found a hole in the bag so he sat down by a tree, took out some needle and thread and started working his fingers up and down and around the hole. He stopped and looked at his hands. They were white and spidery. Yes, Rafael was half vampire. From the day he was given life, an evil wizard cursed that he will become a vampire when he was born. But that didn’t really happen as expected. You see, the wizard aimed badly so it only affected some of him, but he was cursed to live as a vampire/human for the rest of his life. He was the eternal knight, the lone walking man. He travels from town to town across the world after leaving his home millenniums ago. He helps where he can, but mainly lives life to have adventure. He is going to keep on his endless journey until time itself ends. And even longer. His thinking was interrupted by some sort of commotion at the other side of the lake. It seemed that someone has fallen out of a tree. Rafael sprang up and went to investigate.
As Rafael closed in, he heard shouting. “You were spying on us, right?” “Did you know that stalking is a crime?” “All my life I’ve never seen someone as pathetic as you!” Tyla, Hydro and Luna were shouting at Casem. “Well the answers to your questions and remark are: I didn’t mean to spy, I wasn’t stalking and how dare you talk like that to me?” Casem replied angrily. ‘Time to make some friends’ Rafael thought. “Howdy,” Rafael called and raised his hat. “Vampire!” shouted everyone else and they dived into the river. “Yeah, treat me like everyone else does,” Rafael said and headed off.
Luna was the first to get out of the water. She spots a cave in the distance and decides that that was where she will stay the night. She walked deep into the cave, lit a small fire and took out some food.

that's all I'm showing ya. I've read some of the rest of the book. It's great!

Its actually good. And I like it. BUt my charcter wads borna vampire. And he ws bornof twohalf vampires. I never liked the cursed idea.
