You mean the current staff do f all aside from a couple of people? And one of the people who would've done a lot got shafted :D

No, how much someone like Jirachi X could mess things up now. He went on a ban spree and banned both you and Liz, resulting in his demotion and ban from SC. He banned several other people, but I can't remember who. He couldn't get far because of the "5 bans a week" Smod limit.

Ever since then, Rich has had to remove almost all limits on Smod because I kept breaking my account doing the Admin's job. I don't think we have a ban limit anymore, and it would be hard as hell to hit a delete limit if we even have one anymore.

A mad Smod could rape the site... ._.

I was nice to him too haha. I wasn't nice on the whole to the PXE people because back then my idea of fun wasn't to over-run multiple topics with stupid little conversations that ruined threads to a point where no-one could enter it without being ignored haha.

But, in saying that. I'm over all that :D

Again, this is why Rich needs to make you an Admin. You're an Admin in responsibility and power, just not in name. Who cares if not everyone loves you? You've already stated many a time that you're practically an Admin anyway, it's not like they'll be shocked by you becoming an Admin. And you've had it coming for a long time. Everyone knows you're on the verge of becoming one.

I really don't blame him for being afraid I'm going to turn into another Dave. What I do blame him for is turning a job into a popularity contest - I'm not interested in participating in something like that.

I know you don't want it to be a popularity contest. But again, whether people like you or not, you should be an Admin. What powers does an Admin have that you don't?

Again, why couldn't a Smod do that? Seems there'd probably be a lot of offensive/inappropriate avys.
Makes sense.

I can ban IP's of members in T&C, and guests in the forums. I can't ban the IP's of registered members in the forums though.

And Smods can't delete member avatars because that's not really part of the forum. Sigs and avatars are part of a member's personal area. I don't believe Smods should be able to touch that. We never even had a reason to until I got back on upper staff - Admins were active enough to deal with it. Ever since I started doing everything though, they disappeared.

The thing is, the site's screwed if you leave.

I'm not going to leave, but I am close to giving up. Liz helps, but I still handle 90 - 99 percent of all staff actions. With these guests... It's just starting to become too much. I mean, I'm well over 20 bans today. It's becoming a normal thing, and I'm getting no help here. If Rich isn't going to help us out at all, then what's the point? :/

Okay fine "Give up." You get what I mean. For whatever reason you're not here for an extended period of time, the site's screwed.

It will evolve from there. Guests will come on endlessly, spamming everything, ruining the site. Then there will be those retarded guests who posts in all caps, and say "I WILL ANNIHILATE YOU ALL!" And then it will only get worse.

I've noticed that only the newer members and the guests use smilies.
