Ninth Palaver

I'm living life as normal. It's a type of flu. Pseudo Pandemic. A 2% Morality Rate, which is being highly skewed by the elderly population and other countries, is hardly an excuse for all the craziness.

I'm a stay-at-home dad. I've been in lock down for over two years now. O_O

We've only had a "hunker down" order put in place in Anchorage. Nothin too mandatory, but it'll supposedly lifted at the end of the month.

If it wasn't for the lack of vaccine, hoarding, and general unpleasantness of this whole thing, I wouldn't be as worried. But my kids like having grandparents, so here I stay.

At this point I'm more worried about the economy once this is all over with. I prefer Great Depressions to remain in the past, thank you.

I agree. Most elderly people have even come forward and said to start the economy back up. Do they know it's a risk? Of course. But they don't want their kids and grandkids living like this.

I agree with you both. I think the panic was a bit much but i do get it and having seen,tbe way Spanish Flu went its good to see humanity learn a lesson.

Working at the hospital I've seen a lot of level headed people and a lot of fearful people. As long as we keep with rules and limit our interactions we can slow the spread and get back to normal.
