And beating Pitt isn't anything great or special. They're guaranteed to go .500 at best on a season, and maybe two games below at worst. They're the college FB program stcuk in neutral.

Well, it has developed in a bit of rivalry over the past few years. Don't know why, but each team plays hard in the game; this year's ended on a game winning 57-yard field goal as time expired. Besides, Pitt is 3-1 right now. Probably could have been a 8 or 9 win season if their RB didn't go down with injury.

XD sorry I know i should be more optomistic but you can only get beaten down and disappointed so many times. its why I cut ties with the pirates and went all the way across the country to be an oakland A's fan. Well, that and management blantantly lying through their teeth to the consumer.

Besides, as niuice as it is they're getting a rivalry... they should have never broke up the big east like that. It will never be the same as it was with WVU, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Villanova. Those games were legendary, maybe not so much for football but those basketball games were legendary rivalries every year. And that was the Big East's true strength (at least in the last half decade or so of it) strong powerful basketball rivalries and teams.

But then again I'm not and old school person who remembers the really good old days of Pitt/Penn State.

Yeah, I don't know why they ever dismantled the Big East. Such a great conference, ESPECIALLY in B-Ball.

That should SO be a yearly rivalry; any major teams in the same state should be.

Oh, and the Dolphins fired their Head Coach today. Would say good riddance, but.. Wait, no, scratch that... Good riddance. :P XD

Yeah, but i can't wait till they get bounced like a rubber ball by Arrieta. And I'll never go back to the pirates. I won't jump on that bandwagon. Its all green and gold.

Well they're talking about bringing back the Penn State/Pitt thing for a few years (soo it would be annual for like five or so years) starting in 2019 and then they're going to do WVU annually too starting in 2020 I think. But I agree, kinda. Eagles and Steelers isn't really a great rivalry, at least not like Steelers/Ravens. Phillies Pirates isnt either but that's cause both were/are garbage at the wrong times for it to ever heat up. Pens/Flyers though, thats one of the best rivarlies in Hockey.

The steelers got their new kicker too. New faces all around! WOOO!!!

I hope the Cubbies do good, and that not just because they're like my second favorite Baseball Team. It has just been SO LONG since they were even relevant, and I'd at least like to see them do something in the Playoffs, even if that means not being able to go all the way. Lord knows they'd need some help with the Cards.

I was mainly talking about College Football with that idea - nothing better than pittsburgh going at it with Baltimore in the pros! :nice:

I hope the Jays win but that's just cause josh donaldson is playing for them. Plus Jose Bautista is there till and he was my faovrite pirate when I acctually like the pirates or cared (when i was young and dumb). well him and Brian Giles. Barring that... The cubs winning wouldn't be terrible. Though I guess I'd want the astros to win since they have another former A's player in scott kazmir.
