I dont know Rose, I think I know, but im not sure. *looks to the path* lets get in the open, so we have a better chance. *picks her up and runs with her, andre following them to the path as the pokemon follows. breaks out into the grass, turning quickly and sees the pokemon jump out*
Shinx *jumps out and shows teeth, pawing at the ground* this is my land,why are you here?

((Sir julian: XD yeah, I aws going to say the helmeted pokemon but I didnt want to have it misinterpreted to something offensive.

and techinically caterpie would want fat, cause that helps them while tehy're metapod.))

His hand holds out a few treats for the Caterpie.

He then pulls out a sandwich for himself, and fills a cup with water.

Oh, I see. She must have been attacked by a wild pokemon then. these wounds are very severe and deep. If she makes it at all will be a miracle.

They both get into the tent, and start to sleep for the night.

*looks up as eys snap poen and moves quickly, knocking the shinx off balance as it falls and pins him to the ground, one paw on his neck the other on his chest* surrender, dont make me break you!
*glares up at him before smilng and closinghis eyes, laying his head on teh dirt* fine, Im beaten, I give up.

After a peaceful night's sleep, not being disturbed in any way, especially not by something like an Ursaring, the two wake up well rested.
Jay washes in the river, and then they eat a light breakfast.

"So, we're gonna have to cross the river, right?"

"That's right. This is the best place to do it, too."

"Alright, we'll do it here, then."

He rolls up the legs of his jeans, holds his back above his head, and heads into the river with Terps on his shoulder.

"Hang on!"

As soon as Jay got waist-deep in the river, he started shivering.
The water was raging faster than he had thought, and it was getting deeper and deeper the further he got.
He wasn't even halfway across.

"Do you think I can make it!?" he had to shout over the roaring of the river.

"I don't know. It can't hurt to try, can it?"

Yeah, until I drown. No biggie. he thought to himself. But he kept going.

After a few minutes of struggling, they made it across the river.
Jay was soaking wet, having been forced down a couple of times.
Terps was fine, though slightly jumpy. Her feet were able to cling to Jay's shoulder.

"Never, ever doing that again. There better be a bridge somewhere up ahead."

"There is, closer to the waterfall."

"And you couldn't have told me about it before?"

"I wanted to see if you could do this."

"And if I couldn't?"

"You would have ended up in the ocean, safe. There are very few rocks in this river. You could have swam back to shore, on the other side of the river, and walked along it to the village.
