*Shade snaps to attention and whirls around, growling.*

*An alakazam, tyranitar, and houndoom step out of the trees.*
Alakazam: "Yes, it is us."
Shade: "I told you I'm not joining you. There's no way in hell that I'd EVER turn on the sages, just so you could take their places... You're just a bunch of thugs..."
Alakazam: "We are not here to ask you to join us this time."
Shade: "... What...? But the prophecy said that you need the Shadow within the Light to overthrow the Sages... And that's me... The Emissary of Shadow..."

*An eevee identical to Shade steps out.*
Shade 2: "But he was talking to me."

Alakazam: "He doesn't have your powers, because they are impossible to replicate."

*Shade growls.*

*He bolts away. The Alakazam nods to the Houndoom.*
Alakazam: "Pursue him."
Houndoom: "And when we have his powers?"
Alakazam: "... Kill him."
*The houndoom grins and bolts after Shade. Shade runs past Lilly at top speed, almost hitting her.*

Shade: "HIM!!!"
*The Houndoom leaps at Shade and sinks his fangs into his neck.*
Shade: "GAH!"
*Shade coughs out blood. The Alakazam teleports in.*
Alakazam: "That was vaguely annoying. For a moment, I thought you were going to get away."
Shade: "Please... Don't do this..."
Alakazam: "I'm not in a very compassionate mood, so I'm going to ignore that."
*Holds up his hand. A black orb of energy forms around Shade. Shade floats into the air. It starts draining his powers.*
Alakazam: "Yes..."
Shade: "GAAAAAAAH!!!"
*The Tyranitar laughs.*
Tyranitar: "Hurts, doesn't it?"

*It hits him.*

*Growls and throws Lilly aside with Psychic. Finishes draining Shade's powers. They form a black ball that just floats there. Alakazam grabs it and fuses it with Shade's clone.*
Alakazam: "There... Now he's a better you than you..."
*Shade collapses, exhausted. Can't get up.*
Alakazam: "Houndoom, finish him."
*Houndoom grins.*
Houndoom: "With pleasure..."
*Sinks his fangs into Shade's neck. Alakazam, Tyranitar, and Shade's clone teleport away. The houndoom shakes Shade around like a rag doll and throws him into a tree. Shade has three gaping holes in his neck from Houndoom's fangs.*
Houndoom: "You have no idea how long I've wanted to kill you..."
*Puts his paw on Shade's chest.*
"And I'm gonna make it hurt like hell..."

*Growls.*
