"....Fine. I'll be back soon."
*Ruby burrows underground, and starts off for Treasure Town. A little while later, she burrows up and enters the town. She starts asking people if they have seen Maria and Derek around. Finally, a Grumpig tells her that he saw them towards the southeast. She thanks him, and starts digging her way there as fast as possible.*

*Eventually, Ruby comes up above ground, and comes to the cliffside Maria was thrown off of. She looks down, and sees Maria.*
"Maria..."
*Ruby tries to think of a way down, but suddenly, a Houndoom runs into her, and knocks her down the cliffside. Ruby is KO'ed before she hits the ground, and some rocks bury her. Maria jumps in surprise, and runs over to the rock pile.*
"Hey, are you ok!?"
*Maria uses a Psychic to move the rocks, and finds Ruby badly injured. She picks Ruby up.*
"Ruby!? What happened?"
*Ruby coughs a little.*
"I...came to get you....Shade needs your help.."
*Ruby coughs a little more. Maria shakes her.*
"Don't pass out Ruby....Where is Shade?"
*Ruby points in the direction of the Wastelands.*
"T-the....wastelands...*Cough.*"
"Ok..."
*Maria uses her scar to rip a portal open next to Shade, and goes through it.*
