*Maria sees Derek up ahead.*
"Derek!"

*Ruby wakes up, find Shade asleep still on her back. She rubs him with her tail. She feels that he has a temperature higher than usual. She has a =/ face.*
"Hmm..."
*Suddenly, Shade starts glowing.*
"What the-!?"
*Shade glows for a little bit, then changes into a Trapinch. He is absolutely adorable. She smiles, and holds him. He wakes up.*
S-"...Why are you staring at me like that?"
R-"Look at yourself."
*He looks at himself, and gets a 0_0 face.*
"A T-trapinch!? But how...?"
R-"I dunno...."
*He stares for a while, then gets distracted by his stubby tail. He chases it for 5 minutes, then gives up, pouting. Ruby chuckles.*
"Cute! Here, go for my tail."
*He jumps for it, but she raises it. He jumps again, and grabs it.*
"HA!"
*Ruby has a ^_^ face, and laughs.*
"You got it!"
*She thinks to herself.*
Did he change for me to take care of him...? Or...? Something more?
