*Sam is leaning against a tree in front of Derek's house. As she watches the fluffy white clouds pass above her in the clear blue sky, she sighs heavily. Looking over at the pile of chopped wood, she can still see Kate hiding in it, staring at Sam with large, fearful eyes. Sam moves her hand up and down in the air, watching Kate follow her every movement, not letting Sam get away with anything. this annoys Sam to the point of going over and picking up Kate. Struggling to get free, Kate scratches Sam's nose with her sharp claws. Sam just shudders at the pain caused by the small gash on her cheek and holds Kate in her arms, trying to calm her down*
Sam-" Kate, stop. I'm not going to hurt you but you have to calm down! You're scratching up my face... and the last thing I need is a jacked up looker... I'll end up looking like daddy if this continues"
*Slowly, Kate stops struggling and looks up at Sam. The look of fear is still present in her eyes. They're watering out of fear. Quickly, Kate glances over at the sharp end of Sam's tail and whimpers a little. Images of Sam cutting Garret's skull open with it flash through her mind. Sam just stares at Kate with a =/ face and pets her head*
Sam-" Kate, do you wanna know what happened? Why that other Sam came to kill you and Garret"
*Kate slowly nods to Sam, not letting her out of her sight*
Sam-" Okay, I had a vision a few weeks ago. I have a Temporal Scar on my tail that lets me have brief glimpses of the future. I saw garret running up to you and saying that he loves you.... I went a little crazy back then. I ended up going to the future and killing both of you. What you saw yesterday was my past self coming to the future to do just that. It must have turned out differently than what I did because you're still alive and not sitting on some stone slab, wasting away in front of garret's eyes. He was suppose to be nailed to a piece of wood, frozen in time so he would have to stare at you while you deteriorate"
*Kate leaps out of Sam's arms and runs off, yelping. Sitting there on the grass, Sam just watches Kate go. After Kate is well out of sight and can't be heard anymore, Sam picks angel up off the floor and wraps her up in a blanket. Sam picks up angel and whispers into her ear*
Sam-" Come on... we have stuff to do in town today..."
*Angel licks Sam's nose and curls up in her arms, trying to keep warm under the soft blanket as Sam walks outside into the cold breeze. Ice is still coating the pots of water near the front door. Its not quite cold enough to freeze but not warm enough to melt the ice off quickly. Sam sets off towards town through the cold wind and light snow on the ground. The path she's taking is the same one she used to get the tree home the other day. The trees near the path are still split in two by the massive creature with glowing red eyes she saw glaring at her in the woods that night. Small Starly are standing on the broken trees, singing and pulling worms from the wood. Some fly from one side to the other, right in front of Sam as if they have no fear of her. One lands by her feet and stares at her with small, beady eyes. Trying to get it to go away, Sam pushes it aside with her tail and keeps walking. It walks right behind her for a few moments until she turns around and yells at it. The Starly gets a -_-' face and turns into a Pikachu. Sam stares in shock at the Pikachu, not able to understand how it did that. The Pikachu grabs Sam's paw and pulls her down so it can whisper into her ear*
BOM-" Look, I know what happened the other day... what raichu did to you. I want you to know that I sent her away for that. She's going to be in that same place she sent you to for a few days. You don't have to be worried about her coming after you for a while. Be weary of Wes. Though he may seem to be nice and all, he has some mental problems. He's... unstable at best"
*gleaming with joy, Sam grabs the Pikachu and hugs it tightly. She kisses it on the cheek*
Sam-" Thank you so much! You have no idea how happy I am to know that I can actually live normally for a few days"
BOM-" Sam, i may have taken the fear of that place away from you but the memories still remain... they'll come back on you in time. You're going to develop some mental problems of your own due to them"
Sam-" That's impossible, I'm already crazy. And on that topic, what were you saying about Wes? He seemed completely sane to me when i was with him. He may be working for someone who's less than favorable but He's still a good person deep down inside"
*The Pikachu hops from her arms an opens a portal. It gets ready to leave when it looks back at her with a serious face*
BOM-" just remember what I said, Sam"
*It disappears through the portal, leaving Sam and Angel alone in the woods. Sam shrugs and turns around to keep heading towards town. When she does turn around, she see's large holes in the ground that weren't there before. They were obviously made by something massive walking behind her when she was talking to the Pikachu. The creature must have come from the woods to her right and disappeared into the woods to her left. Trees seem to be pushed out of the way where the creature was. A spine tingling chill runs up Sam's spine as she realizes how close it must have gotten to her without her even noticing. Looking up from her spot nestled in Sam's arms, Angel can sense the look of fear on Sam's face and whimpers at her lightly. Sam, not wanting to see Angel in fear, shakes her head and tries to regain her track of thought. Slowly and cautiously, she steps over the holes made by the creature and walks towards Treasure Town, looking around for whatever made those holes the whole time. After what seems to have been hours of walking in fear, she finally gets to the top of a hill overlooking Treasure Town from the south-east. With a smile on her face, she enters town and looks around at all that's changed over the last two days. Duskul is outside his bank, crying over an empty sack of money. All of his wealthy customers have withdrawn their large sum of money to buy food and presents for Christmas. One of the few shops that seems to be doing well is the Kekleon brother's shop which now has expanded to cover a good portion of the forest behind them. Eager customers pile up at the front of the shop, demanding food, clothing, items, and useless junk to wrap up and give as presents. One of the brothers is happily working the counter at the front while the other is running back and forth, bringing items to the front and taking money to the back. Sam giggles to herself at this and walks over to the Snorunt's small shop. Looking around and waiting for the Snorunt to come out, she gazes at a very large tree it's been working on recently. The tree is covered with every form of decoration and every color of bright, brilliant light. Seeing this, Angel jumps from Sam's arms and starts trying to eat the lights. With an arm around Angel's neck, Sam tries to hold Angel back. The small Eevee seems desperate to have just one light bulb to eat. She has a O_O look on her face and tries to shake Sam off; However, this just causes Sam to hold on tighter. The Snorunt runs out of its small shack and gets in between the two and the tree. Angel finally stops and hops back in Sam's arms, realizing that its too cold outside and that she's not going to get one of the lights. Sam bends down and talks to the Snorunt in a soft, sweet voice*
Sam-" Hey there... how's business been going for you? Gotten plenty of customers?"
Snorunt-"...."
*It points to the small plot behind it's shack where it keeps its stock of decorated trees. The entire lot is full of the trees. A look of shock draws across Sam's face as she realizes that she's been the Snorunt's only customer as of yet. She puts her free paw under her chin, thinking of what to do*
Sam-" I wish I could help you... but I don't know what to do-"
*Sam falls to the ground as Kate jumps out of a tree and tackles her. Kate is standing on Sam's chest with her face in Sam's, growling at her*
Kate-" You're never going to get me. I'm going to end you before you can"
*Kate starts biting at Sam's face but she's too young to be able to do any damage. Sam picks Kate up by the tail and starts smacking her bottom as punishment for biting her*

Sam-" You need to learn to calm down. I'm sorry for the way my past self acted and i promise it will never happen again. Just chill out for a few seconds"
*Still hanging upside down by the tail, Kat is holding her butt with her front paws. There are tears in her eyes from the stinging pain. Some of them fall onto Angel's nose, waking her up from her light sleep. She looks up at Kate and sticks her tongue out at her*
Kate-" ...Okay... I'll calm down... can you please put me down now...? My tail is starting to hurt... a lot."
*Sam puts Kate down just as Chris appears beside her. Kate looks up at Chris and notices that the right side of his body is badly scarred. Sam, Kate, and Angel all get o_0 faces at this sight*
Sam and Kate-" What happened to you?!"
Chris-" Long story... lets just say i got burned and Tera tried to help me"
*Sam smiles but Kate frowns after hearing this*
Sam-" So I take it you and Tera are talking again"
Kate-" I hope not... that ugly Glaceon is mean"
*Chris looks down at Kate*
Chris-" hush, she's not mean anymore. She's just a little... troubled. She needs us all to be there for her"
Sam-" I'll take that as a yes. Glad to hear that you two worked things out"
Chris-" Well, I still haven't told her how I feel... I was going to do that Christmas morning. Thought it would be a nice surprise"
Sam-" I'm sure she'll be overjoyed to hear that Chris"
*Kate lets out a long sigh and jumps on Chris' head. Suddenly, Wes appears out of nowhere behind Sam. With his paw on her shoulder, he whispers into her ear. Sam is holding her breath, knowing that someone is behind her but unaware that it's Wes*
Wes-" Sam, I need to get you out of here. Something escaped from Rai's castle and now its after you"
*Sam pauses for a second, remembering what the BOM had told her about Wes. She slowly turns around and looks down at both of their feet which are almost touching. She doesn't want to look him in the face because she's blushing*
Sam-" Wes, I cant go with you... not until I figure something out. I'll be fine alone... you just need to leave for the time being"
*He shakes her with both hands on her shoulders*
Wes-" Sam, now isn't the time to talk. we need to go, now!"
*Chris walks over and stands by Sam, glaring at Wes*
Chris-" She said she needed you to leave... please listen"
*Chris is sent flying into a tree when Wes punches him in the face. Sam puts her paws over her mouth and gasps in shock at what just happened to Chris*
Wes-" Shut up you stupid dog! no one asked you anything!"
Sam-" Wes, stop! Don't hurt Chris, he didn't do anything to you!"
*Sam runs over to check on Chris. He's still breathing normally but his cheek is bruised and he's knocked out. Gently, she rubs his ear back and picks him up off the ground. With a grunt, she leans him up against the tree and turns around to speak to Wes again. When she does, she finds that he's gone without any trace of where he went in sight. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking violently. The sharp sound of trees cracking and the dulled noise of rocks crumbling can be heard coming from the forest right beside Sam. Birds fly over her head, fleeing from the forest as if their lives depended on it. With the final few trees falling before Sam's feet, a massive beast at least thirteen feet tall bursts from the dense forest and stops about 10 feet in front of Sam. Its standing on its arms, using them to move around. its small feet, roughly the size of Sam's forearm, dangle from its massive torso. Its arms and head are covered in an armor that resembles dried out bone. Its jaw is split down the middle, revealing its long, spike like teeth. Mangled heads and half broken arms burst from its chest and dangle as it lets out a massive roar, spitting blood and puss at Sam. It looks to be just a mass of dead bodies fused together in some cruel, torturous experiment by Rai. The beast somewhat resembles the demons chained to the wall while Sam was in hell... only this one is loose... and it has Sam in its sights. After seeing this, Kate runs off in fear, yelping and hiding her tail in between her legs. Shaking slightly at the knees, Sam stares at this brute of a beast as it approaches her. The foul beast grabs Sam's tail with a smaller arm hidden behind his main one and picks Sam up into the air. Sam yells in fear for help but all the Pokemon that usually inhabit the town seem to have disappeared. Angel is laying on the ground nearby, still sleeping in the blanket until she hears her mother's scream. Her eyes glow bright blue for a few moments. The light around Sam and the Brute begins to distort, making them look blurred and transparent. Within a few moments, they're gone, leaving nothing behind. Angel looks around for Sam as her stomach growls. Finding herself on the ground, all alone in the middle of an empty town, she cries loudly. A cold, lifeless wind blows across her fur, making her shiver*



*Sam is laying on a rock cliff, floating in the air. The rock below her is shifting, bending, moving as if it were made of jello-like mineral. Her eyes are closed tightly as she lays there, motionless, waiting for the beast to strike her with its massive claw. A deathly silence fills the air around her. After minutes of waiting for the final blow to hit her, she slowly opens her eyes to see a swirling black cloud of all different shades above her. She stares at this, mesmerized from having never seen anything like it before. Off to her right, a large blue crystal, roughly 200 feet long floats through the air. Looking around, she finds herself in some strange dimension where everything seems to be warped. Gravity is non-existent in some places and unbearably strong in others. Because of this, the lower half of her feels like something incredibly heavy is bearing down on it while the top half of her body is almost weightless. She quickly moves over to the part of the rock that has less gravity and stands up, being careful not to jump in any way so she doesn't float off. She keeps searching for the Brute, knowing that it must be somewhere*
Sam-" Where did that... creature go...? It couldn't have just disappeared like that. And where am I? I've never seen anything like this place before in my entire life..."
*A small rock hits her head, hard, knocking her over onto her back. She falls on the side of the rock that's overwhelmed with gravity. Struggling a bit, she tries to get up but can't by her own strength. She screams in frustration, swatting at the rock that now hovers just out of her reach. Her ears pin her to the ground like massive weights hanging from her head; this, in turn, stretches her face, making her look like a psycho killer. A long chain of rocks and brilliant gems are floating above her head, revolving around a small moon-like asteroid in the distance. Still unable to get up, she just lays there, grumbling to herself. A hand extends towards her's, offering to help her up. She looks at what the hand is attached to and finds Wes standing above her*
Wes-" Need some help my dearest Sam?"
*She crosses her arms, refusing to take him up on his offer*
Sam-" After what you did to Chris? You're lucky I'm even speaking to you. You hit one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life"
*Wes grits his teeth in anger for a bit and just grabs her hand, jerking her to her feet. Sam stumbles a bit, not used to the gravity and stares at Wes. Even though the muscles in his legs are bulging from the strain of standing up, he doesn't show any signs that he's having trouble. With a little force, he smiles at her*
Wes-" Look, I'm sorry for what I did back there. I know it wasn't right but I have some... anger management issues I need to and have been working on. I promise you Sam, it will NEVER happen again... you have my word"
Sam-" Wes, I barely know you. How is your word any good to me?"
Wes-" ....Well, you'll just have to show a little faith and trust me on this"
Sam-" Look, I don't know how you got here but just help me find a way out. You do that... and I'll forget what you did and say it never happened, okay?"
Wes-" Fine. If it makes you happy, I'll help you get out of here"
*He grabs her hand and starts walking towards a small, narrow path of floating rocks leading from one massive asteroid to another. The one they're on now bends under their weight like they're walking on a water bed. Sam has a -_- face as she stares at her paw which Wes doesn't seem willing to let go of at the moment. Letting out a sigh, she decides to say nothing of this and just follow him*
Sam-" Wes, I have a few questions for you-"
Wes-" Not now Sam, that creature could be anywhere. We need to keep quiet until we know its safe"
*Sam stops, causing Wes to tumble backwards, almost falling over from holding her hand. He looks back at her with a puzzled look on his face*
Sam-" At least tell me how you got here. It might help in finding a way out"
Wes-" I saw what was happening. I knew that you were about to disappear so I jumped in after you right before the portal closed. I landed on a rock not far from here. I saw that you were on the ground and thought you needed help"
*Sam puts her paw under her mouth, mumbling to herself while deep in thought*
Sam-" ...If you appeared that close, then that brute couldn't have landed far..."
Wes-" That's why we need to keep moving Sam. No time to think or chit-chat"
*He grabs her hand again and starts running. The start passing through gravity zones so quickly that Sam's head starts to spin and feel heavy. This causes her limbs to droop like she lacks the strength to lift them. Each of her steps becomes more sluggish than the last until finally, she falls to her knees. Wes keeps trying to drag her but can't. She far too heave due to the gravity and he's too tired to put any more force into it. He sits down by her, panting. An ear piercing roar shakes the ground beneath them. They both look up at the same time to see the brute standing on the asteroid above them, glaring at them. The asteroid is about 1000 feet away. Far away enough to keep them safe but close enough for them to feel uneasy*
Sam-" Wes, we need to get out of-"
*She turns around to look at Wes but he's gone, once again leaving her alone with the creature. Immediately, she gets a -_- face and gets to her feet*
Sam-" I should have known he would run off again... only person that would stick by me through all this is Garret... I only wish I could have stayed for him to tell me what he wanted"
*She starts running off down the path, waddling at some points in time due to the weight. She hears a loud thud after about a minute of running and turns around to see that the brute just landed where she was sitting after it jumped down*

Sam-" Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap!"
*She starts running faster but hears the low thud of every step the brute takes as it comes closer and closer to her. It doesn't take long for her to be able to her the low rumbling of its growl. Sam quickly slips into a narrow opening in a rock wall. Her belly is shoved up against the rocks, almost getting her stuck. The brute stops by the hole and reaches in, trying to swat at her. It grazes her upper arm with its claw but its thick, bone like armor prevents it from getting any closer. Sam rubs her arm and tries to suck in her belly to slip further into the hole*
Sam-" Ugh, I need to lay off Garret's homemade poffins. They're making this mousy a bit too fat"
*The brute lets out another roar, making her shriek in fear. The walls become too narrow for her to proceed any further into them. Knowing that it's not going to go away and that there's no other way out, she starts crying to herself. Just as she does, something tackles the Brute, knocking it over. Loud thuds can be heard as something hits the Brute's armor, hard. Sam looks out of the hole to find Wes on top of the brute, punching it as hard as it can. The Brute's armor has a crack in it from where Wes first tackled it*
Wes-" Don't TOUCH HER!"
*With a heave of its right arm, the Brute slings Wes into a rock wall. The wall crumbles and the Brute glares at Sam with the empty sockets it has for eyes. With a grunt, I charges at her only to be knocked off a cliff by one of Wes' volt tackles. The creature is still holding onto the edge with one arm. Wes walks over and steps on it, trying to make the Brute fall to its doom. As one final desperate act to kill at least one of them, the Brute grab's Wes' tail, dragging him to his death with it. Sam runs over just in time to see Wes and the Brute fade from sight*
Sam-" WES!!! ...no..."
*She sits down and cries a little after having to witness that horrid sigh*
Sam-" I.... I can't stay here... I have to get home...."
*Wiping a tear from her eye, she turns around and continues down the long and narrow path before her. The swirling clouds overhead start to darken, blotting out the many holes in the space above her that let off light. The shadow cast by her soon disappears, fading into the other shades caused by the lack of harsh light in this strange dimension. A sudden yell makes her jolt her head up and gaze at a small house sitting on the top of a large spinning rock*
???-" HEY! YOU! Get over here!"
*A strange creature resembling an 8 foot tall frog walking on two legs comes out from behind a twisted tree, holding a shotgun. Its wearing a checkered shirt and overalls on its skinny and frail body. With a quick jerk, it points the barrel of the shotgun at her head*
???-" Who are you little missy? I've never seen your kind around here before"
*It has a strong, redneckish accent that makes Sam sick to her stomach every time it speaks*
Sam-" My name is Samantha... and I'll just be on my way"
???-" You're not one of those varmints that live on the 'fancy' asteroid are ya? You wouldn't dare think of stealing my crops, right?"
Sam-" No...? I'm just a little lost"
*The frog like creature lowers the shotgun and sits down on a rock. It starts whittling away at some wood with a small pocket knife*
???-" If ya need help, there's a dimensional rift over there. Hate to say it but if you're going after that, its going to be a long walk. One day, maybe two"
*It points to a massive forest sitting on a large, flat rock. The forest has a small tunnel made by the blackened trees twisting around an opening. Sam gets a -_- face and grumbles to herself*
Sam-" Its always a dark, creepy forest... why? Why can't it ever be some jolly field where small animals are happily playing"
???-" Its the way of the world; nothing ever comes easy. Be assured, there are animals in there.... cant say how small or happy they are though"
Sam-" Thanks for the help... I better get going if I ever want to see my world again"
*With the flick of her wrist as a form of saying 'goodbye', she slowly walks towards the woods, trying to ignore the overwhelming sense of an impending doom awaiting her in the dark forest*



*While walking through this strangely cold forest, a chill runs us Sam's spine. She starts to get the feeling that she's being watched-as if eyes were drilling their way into her very soul. Trying to ignore this feeling she keeps walking, watching the low lying fog rush in from the base of the twisted trees. The trees are slender, broken, and jagged. Most of them have small thorns lining their trunks instead of bark. They make sharp creaking noises as the fog wetens them, making their fibers soft and loose. The dark pathway she's on seems to narrow, invoking a sense of claustrophobia in Sam. The sound of sticks breaking under something's feet makes her look up, trying to seek out whatever made that noise. With a slight and subtle whimper, she takes off running down the path as fast as she can. Each leap of her back legs kicks up dirt into the fog, making it swirl and move out of the way, revealing the slight, blood colored tint of the ground below her. Sam is in too much of a rush to look back and notice this eerie fact. A short time later, Sam comes to a small clearing in the forest roughly 30 feet wide. Wes is sitting on a log beside a small fire he made. He's roasting some strange fish and has a pot of a rice-like dish boiling in a pot*

Sam-" Wes?! You're alive?!"
*She runs over and hugs him tightly from behind. He doesn't even look at her and keeps stiring the rice in the pot*
Wes-" Of course I'm still alive. That stupid beast wasn't going to take me down that easily"
*He pats the log beside him, motioning for her to sit down*
Wes-" The food's almost ready. I hope you're hungry"
*Sam sits down on the log and watches the fish cook over the fire. Her stomach growls after she smells the delicious scent in the air*
Sam-" I am... a little hungry. Wes, what happened back there? I thought anyone would die after that fall"
Wes-" Well, after that Brute grabbed me, we fell a long ways. I thought I was going to die myself. Luckily, when we hit the rock bottom, I landed on the Brutes chest. It may be made of mangled corpses but its actually quite soft. I stumbled to my feet and found a stairway of floating rocks leading back up to the rock we were on. I ran into some.... strange frog like thing. He told me you went into that forest so I followed you. I wanted to surprise you with all of this so I ran ahead and found the fish in a small lake and the rice in an old sack laying by a cabin"
*He turns to her and looks her in the eyes*
Wes-" Sam... I need to tell you something.... or rather, show"
*She tilts her head*
Sam-" What is it Wes?"
*Without any warning, he kisses her on the lips for a long time. Sam, in a state of shock gets wide eyed and pushes him off*

Sam-" What are you doing?!"
Wes-" Sam, I love you... you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life. I want to be with you.... forever"
*He leans in to give her another kiss but is stopped when she puts her hand in his face*
Sam-" Wes... I'm with someone right now. His name is Garret and I would never leave him. I'm sorry... but I can't be with you... I love Garret far too much. I really just want to get home to him right now..."
*Wes frowns after hearing this. Anger wells up inside of him but he manages to remain calm on the outside. He grabs her paw and holds it to his chest while looking deep into her eyes*
Wes-" Sam, I've seen you blush every time you look at me. I know you have feelings for me... just forget about Garret and follow your heart"
*He leans in closer so her's and his foreheads are touching*
Wes-" Please... do it for me... for yourself. Do what makes you happy. I know you would rather be with me, I can see it in your eyes. They twinkle with wanting every time you look at me... and the same goes for me. We were meant to be together. We're so much alike... more so than you and Garret"
*She pulls her paw away from him and puts it on his cheek, making him look at her and listen*
Sam-" I am following my heart. You and I weren't meant to be together... Garret is the one I'm meant to be with. The one for you is still out there somewhere, waiting for you to find her"
Wes-"...."
*He takes her hand off his cheek and starts walking away into the forest*
Wes-" watch the food and make sure it doesn't burn"
*Sam watches him disappear into the inky black shade of the trees. He starts searching around the base of the trees, looking for something. After a few minutes of digging through the dense fog and broken branches, he finds a white herb and plucks it form its spot nestled in the base of a tree. He holds it up in front of his face and grins*
Wes-" Sam, I'm going to show you how much better I am than Garret...."
*Sam is still sitting by the fire, staring at the rice as it slowly cooks*

*Slowly, Chris start to awake from his sleep by the tree. His face us pulsing in pain from the large bruise on it. Rubbing it, he shakes his head, trying to shake off the grogginess. A faint and weakened cry can be heard echoing through the empty town. He slowly gets to his feet and follows the cries to a small blanket laying on the ground. It moves slightly as Angel shivers in the cold below it. She's been laying there, without anyone to keep her warm for over an hour. Licking her cheek to try to calm her down, Chris feels that her fur is freezing. As a result of being out in the cold so long, Angel has entered a state of hypothermia. Gently, Chris picks her up and takes her into his hotel room. Chris puts her down on the bed and curls up around her, trying to warm her up with his fur. Kate is sitting on the floor in the corner, crying out of fear*
Chris-" Kate... what's wrong? Did that Raichu hurt you too?"
Kate-" No... that big ugly beast scared me..."
*A look of confusion comes over Chris' face*
Chris-" I must have missed a lot while I was asleep... Kate, there's nothing out there now. Whatever it was, its gone now. Nothing is going to hurt you"
*Her whimpers slowly fade and she leaps onto the bed. Curling up around Angel, she lays her head down and tries to drift off to sleep*
*Miles away at the house, Derek's body begins to pulse bright blue. The light slowly increases in intensity until it illuminates the entire room with a blinding light. The light moves away from his body and floats out he window, finally disappearing through a portal. Derek snores lightly, not even noticing that anything happened. After a few minutes, he jumps up and runs outside, looking for something to eat. His stomach growls from hunger and his chest still hurts after what happened last night. A Starly flies over his head and lands in a field nearby. Seeing this, he starts to drool and runs over to tackle it. When he gets into the field where it landed, he finds thousands of Starlies sitting in the field. All at once, they stare at him. Their numbers scare him into running away. It takes the Starly a moment to figure out what he was going to do but as soon as they do, they chase after him*

*Wes comes back to their little campsite and starts pouring the rice into two small bowls for them. After a few moments of uncomfortable silence, Sam finally decides to speak up*
Sam-" Wes... I really hope you're not mad or anything. I didn't mean to lead you on or hurt your feelings. I thought you knew I was with Garret"
*While fixing the bowls, he crushes the herb in his paw and slips it into her food*
Wes-" Its fine Sam. I'll just have to keep looking for the right one like you said"
*He turns around and, with a smile on his face, hands her her food. Sitting down himself to eat he looks over at her. The bowl in her paws is completely empty. Letting out a loud burp, she rubs her belly*

Sam-" I have to hand it to you, ya know how to cook some good food. We'll have to do this again sometime"
Wes-" Wait.... did you... eat all that already?! wow... Sam, you're one amazing girl. I haven't seen anyone eat like that since... well, Rai"
Sam-" She gets it fro..."
*Sam starts to wobble a little and holds her head. A feeling of warmth in her head slowly fills her body. A loud rumble can be heard coming from her stomach. Wes looks at her, still smiling*
Wes-" You okay Sam. You look like you're going to be sick"
Sam-" M... my stomach, it feels strange. I feel like I'm going to black out"
*Her arms fall to her sides. With a grunt, she tries to lift them but they feel like they're made of solid iron*
Sam-" Wes.... I can't move..."
*She falls backwards off of the log, making it roll into the blazing fire. Ashes and hot embers roll out of it, catching a few twigs on fire. With a slight laugh, Wes walks over and stands by her feet. Sam is on the ground, panting, even having trouble breathing*
Sam-" What.... what's going on Wes?!"
Wes-" I do love that particular herb... it has such amazing effects on the body. Loss of muscle control, loss of speech, and eventually, loss of consciousness"
Sam-" Y... you drugged me?!"
*He gets down on all four legs and leans over her. His face is right in front of hers. He whispers softly to her*
Wes-" Yeah... you could say that. Don't worry Sam, I'll take care of you. I'll show you just how much better I am than Garret"
*Sam can feel his paw rubbing her inner thigh. A bit of vomit makes its way into the back of her throat as she's physically sickened by what he's doing. Her eyes start to droop as she's having trouble staying awake*
Sam-" Wes... stop. You... You're crazy"
*She tries to scream for help but all that will come out is a small, strained whimper*
Sam-" Wes, just-"
*She gets cut off as he starts kissing her deeply. Sam's eyes start to water up from fear of him and disgust of what he's doing. With a final strain, she manages to bite his tongue off and kick him in between the legs. This causes him to roll off of her and cry in pain while she takes advantage of the moment and rolls over onto her stomach. With one paw after the other, she tries to climb away into the nearby forest. There's a small hole she can hide in not far into it*
Sam- I have to get away. I should have listened to the BOM. I should have never come near him.... I need Garret's help... I need him
*A paw comes down onto the back of Sam's neck, pushing her face into the ground. The fire from the embers spread to the dead leaves and set the forest ablaze with a hot, red fire. Sam knows that she's in an impossible situation. Even at her full strength, Wes is still 3 to 4 times stronger than her... but like this. She has no hope in the world of fighting him off. He bends over her and whispers into her ear*
Wes-" You're going to pay for that Sam. I'm going to enjoy seeing you cry"
*Sam yelps as he feels him grab her tail and jerk it upward into the air. The burning forest around them turns white from the heat of the blaze. The ground starts to rumble and crack in some places while it melts from the heat in others. Wes looks around, shocked at what's happening but doesn't let go of Sam's tail and neck*
Wes-" What's going on?!"
*Something roars out of fury in the forest. With every word it utters, the ground shakes*
Derek-" Don't you ever TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!"
*Something flies out of the woods and hits Wes in the face so hard that it crushes his skull upon impact. As the drug fully takes hold over Sam and causes her to lose consciousness, she looks up to see a bright white feathered Blaziken standing by her head, growling and seething with anger and heat. After that, she feels nothing more but a calming sleep as she dozes on the hard stone ground*



*Sam stirs in her sleep a little, feeling warm as she grabs something soft. After remembering what happened, she quickly picks her head up and scream. It doesn't take her long to realize that she's completely fine. The soft thing she was grabbing was the feathers on Derek's chest. She has been curled up in his arms, sleeping for hours. He's looking down at her with a smile on his face*
Derek-" You okay Sam...?"
*He rubs his hand over the top of her head, brushing her hears back. Her eyes start to water up at the sight of him. Not being able to hold back the tears any longer, she cries into his feathers*
Sam-" Daddy! I'm so glad to see you!"
*He kisses the top of her head and whispers into her hear*
Derek-" Shhhh... I'm here now Sam. No one's going to hurt you"
Sam-" Wes... he... he tried to..."
Derek-" I know Sam. I got there before he was able to do anything. Don't worry, I took care of him. He's never going to mess with you again"
*With loud, long heaves, she continues to cry into his feathers, refusing to take her face out of them and look at him*
Sam-" Daddy... get me out of here... I want to go home"
*Pulling her of, he puts her on the ground*
Derek-" Sam... I'm sorry, but this is probably the last time you'll ever see me like this"
Sam-" What?!"
Derek-" I couldn't take anymore of my memories. They were ruining my life and making it hard for anyone to be around me for more than five minutes. I decided to start life over. What you see now is just a physical manifestation of my memories. I'll soon go back into that small body and be locked away forever"
*Sam grabs his leg and cries harder*
Sam-" Daddy, don't go! I'm sorry I hurt you! I'll never do it again! just stay with me... please"
*Gently, he pats her head*
Derek-" Sam, I have to. I need you to do something for me.... something very important that may change my entire life"
Sam-" What is it daddy...?"
*She staring at the ground as tears fall from her eyes and splash around her feet*
Derek-" I need you to do something I was never able to do for you. When you return to our world, I need you to help Shadow and Maria raise me right. I don't want to turn out the same way I did last time. I want to be someone who's nice, gentle, and most of all, happy. Just make sure I don't do anything my old self wouldn't approve of, okay?"
Sam-" But daddy..."
Derek-" Sam, please. I haven't asked for much from you... ever. I really need you to do this for me"
Sam-" Fine... I'll make sure you're raised well..."
Derek-" Thank you so much Sam"
*His body begins to fade in a blaze of white fire*
Derek-" This is goodbye Sam... try to have a good life with Garret and the others. I'll see you real soon"
*She doesn't look up but instead, keeps crying. Her eyes are blurry and blinded by the tears. She soon feels that he's gone, leaving her alone in the forest. With a sigh and slight hesitation, she turns and continues walking down the path that the frog creature told her to follow*

*Derek is still running from the Starly as he enters town. A bright blue light engulfs him as all of his memories return from the other dimension and lock themselves somewhere deep inside his head. The light scares the Starly away and leaves him with a headache. He falls over in the snow, staring at the sky as it rains soft bits of snow upon his face. The small eyes on his face are half open as he's dazed and can't remember where he is. Finally, his head goes limp causing him to look off to his right. Chris is still laying in the bed with Angel and Kate when he hears Derek crying outside. Hearing this, he leaps up and looks out the window to find Derek out in the snow, laying in the middle of town, crying his eyes out as he slowly starts to freeze. The shiver and deathly feel of winter's cold bite on Derek's body makes his limbs hurt and ache. It doesn't stop until Chris runs outside and carries him back into the warm hotel room. Angel curls up around Derek when Chris puts him next to her. Still half asleep, Angel licks the feathers on top of Derek's head, feeling his body shiver next to her's. After knowing that everyone is safe, Chris lets out a sigh of relief. Its cut short by a banging on the door*
???-" It's time for you to leave. The time you payed for is up. Either fork up some more cash or get out. I have plenty of other customers wanting in and yours is the only room I can offer them"
Chris-" Kate, gather up the others. We have to get out of here. I don't have the money to afford any more time"
Kate-" But Derek and angel, I don't think they can survive out there in the snow. It's too cold"
Chris-" We'll have to take them to Derek's house... if we can make it. Its quite a long walk and in this..."
*He looks out the window just as the wind blows a flurry of snow onto it. A blizzard is forming outside in the skies and air above the hotel. Kate stares at this, wide eyed*
Kate-" ...I may have trouble too... I've never had to go through something like this before"
Chris-" We'll have to try"
*Kate is staring out the window at the approaching storm. As she scans the horizon, a thought enters her head*
Kate-" Hey, what about the hospital?"

Chris-" Kate.... none of us are hurt. We have no business going to a place like that"
*Kate kicks Chris in the shin bone on his back paw, making him fall to the ground and yelp in pain*

Kate-" You seem to be hurt. Off to the hospital we go then!"
*Chris gets up and smacks Kate in the back of the head. She yelps and lets out a sigh. Seeing that Chris isn't going to go for her idea, she follows him out the door with Derek on her back and Angel on his. As they enter the frigid cold, Angel whimpers. They both start making their way towards Derek's house*

*Sam is still walking through the forest in the other dimension, thinking to herself out loud. realization of what has happened is finally hitting her like a ton of bricks*
Sam-" Daddy.... I'm going to miss you. I'll never be able to see your stupid smile again when you know you've messed up but won't admit it. I'll never be able to enjoy spending time with you as much now that you're small and helpless... I'll never hear your random words that seem to come out of nowhere. I always knew you put up a front to fool people while you were crying on the inside but I never thought it would be this bad... for you to go to such lengths and to start life over as a baby. Daddy, I hope you're happy... because I'm sure not"
*As she walks, staring at her feet the whole time, she notices that the light is slowly growing stronger with every step. The end of the forest is just up ahead of her. Seeing this, she smiles a little and runs towards it. Just before she can exit the forest, something large appears in front of her as it steps out from behind a tree... its the Brute. Its armor is cracked and its torso has a large split in it. Puss is oozing from its joints, making it slightly sluggish in its movements. The mere sight of this creature brings back all the memories of when Sam was in hell. She falls to her knees, holding her head as she cries and shakes in fear*
Sam-" Make it go away, make it go away, make it go away, make it go away..."
*The brute walks over and grabs her by the tail. With a loud growl bellowing from its gut, it drags Sam off through the portal and back to the normal world. It pulls a small metal device from its ribs and teleports them to Rai's castle. They appear in the large, main room of it. The Brute drops her and leave the room, locking the only door behind it. Wes and Rai have been waiting on Sam. Rai is sitting on her chair, burned badly and barely breathing. She's scarred beyond repair, making it hard to even recognize her. The wounds make it impossible for her to move. Wes is standing by her side, in no better condition. It looks as if something almost tore him limb from limb. His body is bleeding and torn. Parts of his fur are missing and he has a patch over his eye. Sam can't help but laugh once she notices that there's a large stick permanently crammed up his butt. It looks like he's tried to remove it but couldn't*
Sam-" Looks like you two have seen better days. Rai, you look ridiculous! You look like a deep fried turd coated in black fur. Wes, looks like daddy did one hell of a job on you. I'm guessing that stick up your but is his idea of showing you how you were trying to make me feel. Kudos to that"
*Wes growls but doesn't move any closer to her. Still seething with anger, he kicks a pedal near his foot. This, in turn, causes a trap door to open below Sam, sending her plummeting into the sewer system below the castle. She lands on her head, knocking her out in the dank, dingy sewer pipe*

*Chris, Kate, Angel, and Derek finally make it to his house and out of the frigid snow. As Chris kicks open the door to his house, the ice covering it breaks off and falls on Kate's head. Kate whimpers and takes Derek and Angel over to the fire. She sighs and lays down next to them, rubbing her head where the ice hit her*
Chris-" See Kate? That wasn't so bad"

*She's shivering violently*
Kate-" It was for me... I'm not an ice type like you"
*Chris sighs and lays down beside them*
Chris-" Whatever, main thing is that we got here safely"
Kate-" Yeah...."
((Now, I only have one question... is puppy boi mad? I did as you asked and ruined Wes as a character ^-^))

*Derek shivers by the fire*

*Flies over the ocean, trying to figure out where to go.*

*lilly walks into town and looks around*

*Sam is groaning as she lays in the sewers below Rai's castle*

*lilly looks at everything*

lilly: wow pretty *looks at the lights*

*stops by treasure town.*

*Derek starts to wake up. Finding himself beside Angel, he chirps happily*

lilly: whats with the lights and stuff


*shadow sits deep in a cave thinking to herself*

*Finally warmed up, Derek runs outside to play in the snow. The shimmering bits of soft, falling ice dazzle and invoke a feeling of awe in him*

*Buys a few gummis, then hides them.*

*lilly walks around town staring at the lights*

*Looking at the sky instead of where he's going, Derek tumbles into a deep, wet hole in the ground. He lands in the caves far below his house*

*shadow sees derek fall not to far from her and sighs and walks over*

(Puppy boi haz a question. Can garret come to sam's rescue?)

*Derek is laying bottom-up on the floor. His legs are swinging wildly as he tries to get up*

*Garret is glaring at the castle, his sword slung across his back. He starts walking, then warps to Sam's location. He holds her close and kisses her head.*
"I'm getting you out of here..."

*shadow walks over and helps him up*
