*The last break in Sam's spine finally heals itself, allowing her to once again move her body freely. As soon as she lifts her arm, the joint pops loudly, causing her minor pain and, at the same time, scaring the birds out of the trees above her. Shivering and groaning, she leans up and wipes the snot off of her nose. As a result of being out in the cold all night, she has developed a flu like illness and is running a high fever. The fever blurs her vision and makes it hard to move. Her stomach is bubbling, making her fell like she's going to throw up at any moment. Just getting to her feet is enough to make her cry but she works through the pain and discomfort, knowing that she has to get out of the frigid weather. Every step she takes seems to drain her of what little energy she has left. Just making it from tree to tree feels like an insanely difficult task. Her knees shake as if ready to buckle and sent her towards the ground once more. She's coughing loudly and eventually falls over onto her back. The only thing she can see through her clouded vision is the dark, early morning sky above her. Tears flow from her eyes as she feels an unbearable chill run over her body not only from the fever but from the freezing temperature outside. Right before she passes out, she manages to slip two final words out of her mouth*
Sam-" Garret... help..."
*The cold wind soon covers her fur with a fresh layer of snow, making her impossible to find for anyone. As she lays there for hours, finding no help from anyone, the snow brings her body temperature down to unsurvivable levels. Wes finally senses that she's in trouble and teleports to her. Frantically, he tries to uncover her and pull her out of the snow*
Wes-" Oh crap, Sam, SAM!"
*He teleports to the house and puts her on the couch next to the fire. She manages to open one eye and look at him. Her vision is still to bad to make out much more than an outline*
Sam-" G... arret...?"
Wes-" Sam... Garret's dead. Its me, Wes"
*Sam passes out on the couch before he can finish telling her who he is*
