*Derek finally finishes chipping away at the stone. It's made in a circle, looking like 9 tales moving out from the center*
Derek-" Morning Lilly..."

Sam-" Hiding... I don't want to get hurt again"

Lilly: Morning dad. What are you doing?

*Lilac climbs down next to Sam.*

Lilac: Not the best place to hide. Oh by the way I'm Lilac.

Derek-" Just making something for you to keep by your side..."
*He touches the center of the red stone and starts pouring energy into it, making dim light pulse outward from the center and into the tails*

Sam-" Hi Lilac.... and it's the only place where bigger things won't come"
*She curls up tighter*

Derek-" It's just something from me... something to light the way when things get dark. Keep it close when you're away from me"
*He wraps some thin leathers string around two of the tails and hangs it around her neck. It seems to be giving off warmth as it pulses a slight red*

Sam-" I haven't seen anything... only more mice and poo"

Sam-" Till everything in the world stops wanting to eat each other... I do have a rant about not eating other Pokemon, but I would have to break the 4th wall again"

*Derek pokes her nose and gets to his feet*
Derek-" It's been fun spending time with you, Lilly"

Sam-" Then I'm fine just staying down here with my mother... who sleeps entirely too much in bad places"
*She picks up a stick and whacks Maria in the head*

Derek-" I know you probably don't want to hang around me for too long"

Derek-" Because you're not exactly a little girl anymore. I'm sure you would want to spend time with someone other than your father at this age"

Sam-" How can you even fall asleep in some place that smells this bad?"
