Mystery Dungeon Rp/Story

*Derek finally makes it to an old tattered house on the docks, so run down that it even lacks half of the roof and a door on the entrance. Crossing his arms, he wanders in, soon finding a Manectric huddled up in the corner around a cooking pot of beans. Finding no immediate threat, he leans against one of the unsteady walls of the place.*
Derek-" Been a while, huh?"
*The Manectric jumps a bit as he looks up at Derek.*
Manectric-" Wh...Who are you?"
*Derek puts a finger on his sword and pulls it around his hips so the Manectric can see the Pokeslayer sword on the side. As soon as the Manectric sees it, he goes a bit pale in the face.*
Manectric-" ...Oh.... I remember you."
Derek-" I trust you have a few moments for a few questions?"
Manectric-" Heh... not like I have all that much of a choice..."
Derek-" You remember our last meeting? You know, the one where you were last seen running for your life despite me calling for you to help?"
*The Manectric looks down and sighs heavily, letting the heat of the cooking beans warm his face.*
Manectric-" ...I remember it all. I remember what I became after that too... Do you ever worry about your soul? Like, what's going to happen to everyone from back then...?"
*Derek lets go of his sword and walks over to the Manectric, standing just in front of the pot.*
Derek-" After you walk into a village and you see 50 children, all sitting neatly in a row, against a church wall, each with their throats cut and their hands chopped off... you realize that the creature that could do this doesn't have a soul worth worrying about."
*The Manectric scoffs and looks off to the side, almost in disbelief.*
Manectric-" I wouldn't be so sure about that... The times before that were a bit better. You remember the times not long after I found you in that cave? We went to that bar in the town and found it raised to the ground, completely engulfed in flames..."
*Derek grabs his sword and starts pulling it out of its sheath.*
Derek-" I do. We found the only bottle of vodka left in one piece in the ashes. We sat together and drank the entire thing. But this isn't the time for memories of better times. I've only come here in search of two answers; Did you? And if so, why."
Manectric-" ...It wasn't me. I was running because I didn't want to die. Unlike you, I actually had something to live for. I saw all the soldiers that surrounded us... and wanted no more of that place. I saw what they did to our friends, and I wanted to keep my head... I'm not the person you're looking for, but I wish you all the best luck in finding him. If I still had the use of my back legs, I would have long since taken care of our problem myself."
Derek-" ...I believe you..."
*And with that, a loud, quick yelp can be heard echoing out of the house, right before the loud noise of silence rings out among the soft patter of the rain on the ground.*

*Zym's ears perk up and he looks towards the house*
Zym: You have to solve everything with death, don't you Derek...?
*He rubs his head before making his way back to Sam*

*Silver's head perks up as she starts to rub the back of her neck*
At this point in time, will he listen to anyone....i don't even think he will listen to Sam.

Grace-"I'm hoping he'll listen to me...if not me directly, then my thoughts. Most ETA officers have a neural transciever embedded in their skull which allows limited telepethy to someone who has one...so, a few months ago I stuck one in Derek's head while he was asleep."

*Sam opens an eye and looks around the small tavern.*
Sam-" ...You guys hear that?"

Zym: Yeah...should we go after him? Or just let him go...?

Sam-" Well, chances are he's already disappeared by now. I'm going to go have a look at where he was before the cops get there."
*Grabbing Zym's claw, she starts leading him out the door and through the wet streets, using her hair like an umbrella by wrapping her free claw around the base and poofing it all up above her.*

*Zym follows her, ears twitching at the sound of the pattering rain hitting the ground*
Zym: Didn't know you could do that.

*Silver sees Sam and Zym*
I'm guessing everyone heard it....
*she looks at them as she shake her head dry every few minutes.*

*Sam finally gets to the tattered old shack, just in time to see the Manectric trot out with fully working legs, belly full and a small wound on its back.*
Sam-" ...What, no dead people?"

Zym: He didn't kill him? Then what was that yelp?
*He let's go of her hand and starts o the manetric*
Zym: Excuse me!

*Silver stops and stares*
that is so weird....it didn't sound like.....
*She tilts her head and watches*

*Looking back at Zym, he goes wide eyed, yelps, and takes off running down the wet streets of the coastal town.*

*Zym gets a ;-; face*
Zym: Was it something I said...?

*Silver looks at Zym*
maybe your recognizable from somewhere....who knows....it was a bit weird though....
*looks at Sam then towards where it ran off*
Should we follow?

Grace is already running after Sam.

Grace-"Wait up! Blue-Bush can only run so fast!"

*Shadow walks over to the group and rubs the back of her head.*
Anyone know what that was about?

*Sam peeks into the building, only seeing a tipped over kettle on the ground.*
Sam-" Guess Zym spooked the thing. That couldn't have been dad here... The only thing that Manectric walked out with was a small little slit on its back..."

Grace finally catches up, breathing heavily.

Grace-"...So he was here..."

Zym: No use going after him then.
*He folds his arms*
Zym: Guess it's back to searching for your dad then huh?
