*Alex looks over the edge of the rock just in time to see a Honchkrow fall on its back. It gives one look at the two larger birds as they land in front of it, then the Honchkrow scoots back until its back is against a rock. The two larger birds seem similar to Staraptors, only darker colored and twice the size.*
Honchkrow: I knew it was coming eventually... You'll never get it from me...
*Both of the dark birds screech and dart at the Honchkrow just as the Honchkrow pulls out a blue orb. The Honchkrow yells out an incantation, causing the blue orb to disappear. It doesn't manage to save itself though, as both of the larger birds slam head first into the Honchkrow's stomach, knocking it out.*

*As the first Staraptor hits the ground, the other turns around to face them, allowing the group to see a small wooden shield on its shoulder with a flame symbol carved into it. Sticking its wing out, it drives it into the rock, forming a dark barrier around them. Through the waves of energy in the dark barrier, small demonic features of the Staraptor can be seen.*
Staraptor: Eshna sel tumacante...
*When it speaks, the words come out as crude and near other worldly.*
