Do you happen to know if Portable Ops is anything good? I've heard some bad stuff about it...

It's different, is all. It wasn't a big name, like Peace Walker was. The main problem I had was that the sneaking is a little easy, to me, at least. If you find it for $6.00 somewhere, it defenitely won't kill you to buy it. Yes, there are better Metal Gear games, but this is an all right game. To be honest, I haven't gotten to play through it all, yet.

And how's the story? Is it even canon?

Not that it really matters. Ghost Babel was amazing and that game isn't canon. <3

Yes, it is canon. It tells about Big Boss 6 years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It explains the back stories of more of the characters that are seen in other Metal Gear Solid titles.

Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel was actually an alternate sequel for Metal Gear 1, back on the MSX.

Well I guess I should check it out then... I saw a pretty cheap copy a week ago.

Yeah I know. Great game. <3

How're the Ac!d games? I'm pretty sure I have one...

It's worth getting, if you find it cheap. They weren't the greatest, but I still want to play them. I believe that what a lot of people didn't like was that they had to manage between night and day, taking care of their soldiers, and learning to alternate between teams. Weapons are kind of scarce feeling, too!

lol I have it on my laptop as an emulation. Maybe I should put it on my brother's psp. Or, my memory card, for the PSP.lol

Ac!d... Those are by far... the biggest... change-up in the ENTIRE Metal Gear series! (Aside from MGRising) You use cards to make your moves, attack, defend and other actions. It involves a bit of planning your next few moves carefully! A fun game, and quite a different pace, from the rest of Metal Gear. I personally like the two Ac!d games better than Portable Ops, and Portable Ops .

Well that sounds... different.

Oh and um no emulation talk pls.

So let's see... The 2 MSX games, the 4 Solid games, Twin Snakes, Peace Walker, Portable Ops, Ghost Babel and the two Ac!d games. That's all, right?

It's defenitely not bad, though. Provided you like that stuff, though. I don't know if you would like it, or not. It takes some time getting used to, but once you get the hang of it... You're almost like any other MGS game.lol

All right. You and emulations not get along?

Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge (Not Kojima made, so I won't play it), Metal Gear Solid: Ghost Babel, Metal Gear Solid/Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions/Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty/Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater/Subsistence, Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriiots, Metal Gear Ac!d, Metal Gear Ac!d 2.

Then, the soon to come.... Metal Gear Rising, Metal Gear Solid 5, and the one that's codenamed "Project Ogre."

Forgot to add Ghost babel, and VR Missions.

Oh I'm getting it anyway, even if I don't like it. :p

Nah, but it's against the rules here on SC. :s

I really want The Twin Snakes... I've heard some bad stuff about that one too, but I'd love it from what I've heard of it.
Too bad it's so expensive.

Isn't Ogre a new IP?

You should. It doesn't hurt to try new things.lol

Oh! I don't know when that was put in, but okay. I'll take your word on it.lol

The Twin Snakes was much better than the original, in my opinion! The graphics are better than that of MGS2's, and the cut-scenes are amazing! The remastering of Shadow Moses is amazing! Way better than the normal. Again, in my opinion. I honestly don't understand why other people complain about it. It was really the one game that I wish the HD Collection had!

IP? What? Project Ogre is an open-world online game. High interactivity in a MGS world!

Check this link, for details on them.

Well the common complains I've heard are the changes in the cutscenes, the new voice acting and how the first person view makes the game too easy, right? The more action-y cutscenes certainly don't bother me, but the voice acting does sound worse from what I've heard. Well, except for Mei Ling. But I don't know how broken the first person view really is.

But yeah that would be amazing, but they probably couldn't include it anyway because of licencing issues. I mean, Nintendo developed it and there are even some Nintendo related easter eggs. But maybe there's a chance it gets a HD version on the Wii U. :s

Are you sure it's in a MGS world? I don't see anything saying that.

They changed out Mei Ling's voice, and gave the guards a few more voices. Naomi Hunter's accent is gone. Grey Fox's voice is changed. Liquid Snake's got a little more of an accent.

Here's a small example.

They should have. You are probably right. Though, they took MGS3, and put Yoshi in, for where every Keroton was. It shouldn't be that hard, to reverse that.

I could be wrong. We'll see, as Kojima releases more.

I didn't really notice it, because I spend a lot of my time in hand to hand fighting. Not too much with guns. I would have to agree, though. If you use guns, it may make it easier with the First Person capability.

Yeah! It's really good! My personal favorite of the whole series!

The reason it's more expensive, is because there weren't as many copies of that game released. I bought mine used for $26! And, I WILL NOT sell it!lol

The graphics really are quite impressive. Really not that surprising, but still.

Well it's definitely a lot more expensive than that now! :s

That little lunchbox was more powerful than most people thought. <3

Well I suppose it depends on where you live. Most copies in the US seem to go for 30-40 bucks, but a poor European like me has to pay at least 60 bucks if he wants a complete copy. :s

Absolutely! Some of the things it could do were impressive! The GBA linking was crazy! XD

And that all depends how bad you want it! Look on Ebay.com, Amazon.com, GameStop.com, and Half.com!
