Flash Gordon is definitely Space / Fantasy / Sci-Fi. No way is that a superhero movie, even if he is the "savior of the universe". lol

I found it boring af there was probably 4 minutes near the end where I actually was interested.

But I hopefully can tell my teacher that's it's actually SciFi today.

Its a space opera, if your teacher says different they're a liar.

It is both fantasy and science fiction action film.

It can be classed as both fantasy action and science fiction action so there...open a debate about that in your media class.

Hmm...I don't think so, the style of the movie would make it more like a space opera. He may have been a hero in the film but I don't think he was a superhero.
I think these days Superheros have to have some sort of special ability whereas if I remember rightly Flash was a football player that just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Obvious catalyst for the film itself, put the protagonist in a different or difficult situation and see that person through it.

Funny that some have asked on Google if Flash and Flash Gordon are the same person XDXDXD
Hilarious!!! Flash was a comic I think, it was created in the 1930s so it's old as crap.

If her entire argument is based on,he was a comic book character ask her if that makes the wizard in Id is a super hero, or if prince valiant is one. Is Luke Skywalker a super hero, cause I know there's star wars comics. I agree with momma, hes a normal dude wrapped up in some kooky hijinks. I know shell bring out the star lord argument from guardians of the galaxy, but he exists in a world of super heroes. Otherwise,hes the same, a guy caught up a space opera.

Starlord she can argue all she wants but it's explained in the second one that hes's almost like a God so where he fits into this I don't actually know. He's certainly surrounded by superheroes, mutant or otherwise. Though Guardians of the galaxy isnt meant to take itself too seriously anyway.
